MacHollywood — Local services in Los Angeles

I have recently come into an issue regarding my Wacom, finding it extremely difficult to locate a cord for the older device as it had since been discontinued. All of the locations I have found that sold the cord were either out of the country for a long wait period or far out of my pay range.

After finding MacHollywood, I was able to find the cord for a much cheaper price. Those that were working there at the time I called were extremely helpful, as I had a few questions before my purchase.

The cord came in record time, coming a few days earlier than the estimated time given! Unfortunately, the cord did not correct my issue with the Wacom (which I had a hunch that it would be an issue, given it was already on its last legs), but MacHollywood was understanding and offered a refund upon returning the cord through shipping.

I have used Mac Hollywood multiple times through the years, they are quick, kind, competitive prices and informative. I brought them an older MacBook with a failed logic board - which I did not know was a failed logic board until Jason at Mac Hollywood diagnosed it. Jason is kind, professional and to the point. He quoted me a price to repair it, and ALSO honestly informed me how I could get another of the same model or newer for a LOWER price. He was right. Since the issue was diagnosed, I decided to try to fix it myself. There was a few bumps and I called Jason, he generously gave his professional advice… I was able to repair it. I don't know how long I can keep this old mac running, but I feel empowered and hope for a bit longer. Amazing place with a physical location to check out wacom cintiq lines. The only place i can find within LA that carries the large cintiq pro models on display, ready to test. Patrick has been an amazing person being quick with responding via. phone and chat and honest to his answers. I’m so glad that machollywood has everything needed for apple along with wacom products and more and SO GLAD theres at least a small parking lot in the back. That’s a rarity in LA especially hollywood locations. Though i haven’t used it yet, i’m aware they offer renting if you’re in a tight spot and need equipment right away. They’re extremely professional and they’re the perfect spot for getting your equipment. Especially with covid, they’ve been great handling everything.
