A trusted friend recommended Picturli because she believed I would enjoy working with the founder/owner, Haleh Shoa. She was so right! Haleh cares deeply about her work as well as her clients and so delivers an incredible product.

My parents had 8+ decades of family photos and memorabilia in boxes plus more that 5000 slides that had never been curated. My dad had passed and I so wanted to give my sweet mom the gift of being able to see and remember all the beautiful times of her life before she completely lost her eyesight and memory, which were both rapidly fading.

Haleh stepped in to quickly help me organize everything. She and her staff lovingly cleaned, scanned, re-named all metadata, archivally boxed, and digitally organized everything into a beautiful online website for our family, making it easy to find a memory in just a click! We now have digitally preserved pages from my parents' baby books, important certificates dating as far back as great-grandparents, and so much more. All this was done in a super timely-manner and my mom was able to enjoy seeing everything. She was reminded of memories and stories that brought tears to her eyes...and mine.

Another wonderful benefit is that my entire extended family is able to enjoy the gift of all these memories too! The younger generations, as well as future generations, will have their family heritage and legacy right at their fingertips and always accessible thanks to the great work performed by Haleh and her team.

My experience with Haleh and Alan from Picturli was a delight and a joy. And it created for us a photo album that we will treasure forever.

My wife Kitty Felde and I had a beloved cat named Chesapeake, 8 years as a high-rise cat in Washington DC and 2 years as an outdoor cat in Los Angeles. Last year she crossed the Rainbow Bridge, which made us very sad. So I approached Haleh and Alan and asked them if they could make an album of dozens of pictures of the cat. I wanted it to be Kitty's Big Birthday Present this year.

The first thing Haleh said was, of course, but, how about if it's an album of Chesapeake AND your life with Chesapeake? This was only the beginning of how Haleh not just inserted photos but designed a narrative to tell the story of our life during the ten years that we shared it with Chesapeake. She extracted details from me. She counseled. She guided. She prodded. She suggested adding captions -- so that someone looking at this album a century hence would know what the heck they were seeing. She coached me so that the captions not just described the photos, but made them sing and soar.

And her design and array of the photos themselves is truly an artistic creation.

So in the end the product we now hold is a priceless and beautiful record, and tribute, and a tableau of ... let's see, almost 20% of our life!

I recently became the caretaker of a several generations of family photos and ephemera.
