This is the worst experience at a doctor's office I have ever had. I made an appointment to have a seborrheic keratosis (skin growth) looked at on my face. The person who entered the room I greeted as "Doctor." He made no attempt to correct me. He proceeded to suggest that my growth might be at least three different kinds of cancer, and he also said he was not able to do a biopsy or give further insight into the nature of the growth. He said I would have to have the entire growth removed by a surgeon. My wife is a physician. She demanded to talk to him, confused as to how he could say that the growth could potentially be different kinds of cancer that look nothing like each other. The answer proved to be quite simple: HE WAS NOT A DOCTOR. He was a physician's assistant. He did not correct me when I called him doctor nor was I told I would be seeing a PA. He was incorrect about the nature of my diagnosis and obfuscated as to why he was not qualified to treat it in the moment. He spiked my anxiety to unbelievable levels. I felt betrayed and I somewhat violated. I know there are actual dermatologists who work at this office, but this is an indictment of this practice as a whole.
I am disgusted with this behavior. I have subsequently seen an actual dermatologist who quickly diagnosed what I had as a benign seborrheic keratosis and burned it off in five minutes. I suggest if you would like to see an ACTUAL DOCTOR, you avoid this office like the plague (a condition they would probably not be able...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFew people find medical appointments enjoyable, with rare exceptions. Having appointments with Dr. Park is one of those exceptions! Not only is she an absolutely lovely person, but she is also a highly competent professional. I was referred to her by a family member whose melanoma Dr. Park diagnosed just in time! Dr. Park spends a generous amount of time with me, addressing all my concerns, even the minor ones. Her medical assistants and the office staff are attentive, caring and efficient. During my first visit, Dr. Park suggested a course of testing and treatment and adjusted it to incorporate my sensitivities. By the time I was ready to leave her office, her administrator, Nancy, had already forwarded my new prescription to my pharmacy. Finally, after more than a year of seeing multiple dermatologists for the same condition, I found someone who is both competent and compassionate, someone whom my pragmatic mind can trust. I would highly recommend Dr. Park to my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI waited an hour and got absolutely nothin done that I made the appointment to get done. The staff was very nice, but the doctor explained that to actually do the procedures bI need more referrals need to be acquired and I have to come back on 3 weeks to start the process. When I checked out make the 3 week appointment I actually could not get an appointment until 11/8, 8 weeks after yesterdayās appointment. My primary care made the initial referral at the end of June. Iām sure the doctor is overwhelmed but the this experience highlights the insuranceās inefficiency. You wanted my feedback. My last visit, as well as the 2 visits after the initial visits, have been much more productive and satisfying. The wait time has been much shorter, average of 15 minutes, and Dr. PArk has been very helpful and responsive to concerns and problems. I appreciate...
