Taqueria El Tapatio #1 — Restaurant in Los Angeles

All summer I had been ordering food here once or twice every week before my workout and sometimes the food was perfect sometimes not as good but it became my routine anyway. Last night I ordered my food and everything seemed fine until someone who has been confirmed as an ex-employee started following me home from the restaurant in his old busted red Camaro. I thought I was imagining until I noticed he was following every lane change I made. I've never been rude to the employees and in fact I even try my best to order in Spanish purely out of respect. So why would their employee follow me? Porque me sigue? They don't like regular customers? That's shady as hell. Came here for the first time. No sit down just walk up window or to drive through ordering. Tacos are pricey now a days. This restaurants tacos are $2. 89. This restaurant has a pretty good taco combo plate with 3 tacos your choice meat, side of beans and rice and a drink. Hits the spot. Delicious tacos beans rice everything was tasty and pretty delicious good quality to my surprise. What I found with so many brick and mortar tacos places is there is mass production which skimps on quality and freshness. That was not the case here. The service is top notch. The guy that helped us was super energetic and friendly. Another quality that is lacking at taco places whether it's a taco stand or brick n mortar....

A friend of mine recommended Taqueria El Tapatio #1 about 6 months ago, I found myself back in this part of the valley around lunch time and thought... why not give it a go. Well let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS. I got the Combo Burrito with Al pastor meat. Wow, that al pastor was flavorful. Highly recommend this unassuming place in the back of the Alta Dena liquor store. My only complaint is it was kind of pricey. $14 and change for a burrito and a small side of rice and beans.
