Great place to buy groceries! The only bad thing about this place which made me give it 2 stars is the employees smoking outside the store in the eating area. I was once eating a snack from the store on one of the outside tables infront of the supermarket, and an employee just comes, sits on the same table as me and starts smoking which was incredibly annoying! And yes, I told the guy to "do it somewhere else"but the guy just started saying "There's no " no smoking" sign here and that he can smoke and another workers can smoke there because it's their resting area"! That's not a good employee and bad choice from the manager for not putting "No Smoking" signs on the outside of the store where the tables are. And I've seen this happen many times before to other people, including one time there was an employee smoking infront of a kid! That's just insane! I don't recommend staying outside to eat a snack outside on the tables, big chance an employee will come and just start smoking like it's nothing. And if the manager sees this, this is for you: I recommend and Please add "No Smoking" signs outside on the walls where the tables...
Read moreI've really enjoyed shopping here, but after witnessing what I just saw I won't be shopping here ever again. After checking out, I went outside and saw a tired older man who had found a place to sit for a while and get warm - it was, after all, the coldest night of the winter so far. The two security guards backed him into a corner and began shoving him violently. He tried to get out of the way, but they knocked him to the ground three separate times while the store manager Lori looked on. When I confronted them, they told me it was private property, and I asked them what danger they felt they were in that necessitated throwing the man to the ground. To that, no one spoke, but one of the security guards flashed his badge at me.
This was totally reckless and unwarranted behavior. The man, who I later found out was named Richard and was about to celebrate his 51st birthday, was completely docile an not a threat to anyone. The security guards completely abused their position and acted without decency. The store manager Lori stood by and allowed...
Read moreGoogle tells me that I haven't been to Superior for almost 2 years. I went there when they opened the store and I couldn't find any of the items I usually buy. I remember that the lines were very long.
Today I went there looking for cereal and Progresso soup. I was very disappointed.
The cereal was not grouped by manufacturer, meaning it takes more time to find the cereal you want. At Food4Less, where I usually shop, the cereal boxes are grouped by brand. I was also looking for gumbo Progressive soup, which Food4Less doesn't always carry. I found just a few brands of Progresso soup at about $4.27 per can and no gumbo soup. I just bought soup at Food4Less for $2.49 for can and the last 2 times I was there the soup was $1.99 per can. The time before that, soup at Food4Less was $1.66 per can.
I am mystified as to why the parking lot of Superior is always full. I saw that they have an extensive baked goods department, far exceeding what food4less has but I don't have a...
