"I recently visited this store with high hopes, as I had heard that the staff was friendly. While I can confirm that the employees were indeed warm and welcoming, I was disappointed by their lack of knowledge when it came to helping customers find items. I asked for assistance a couple of times, but it seemed like they were unsure where things were located. It left me wandering aimlessly through the aisles, which is frustrating when you're trying to shop efficiently.

Additionally, I couldn't help but notice the smell in the store. It was reminiscent of village stores from the '90s, evoking memories that I would rather forget. It felt as though half of the merchandise was expired or nearing its expiration date. This is 2024, and it's clear that the store could benefit from some significant improvements in terms of cleanliness and product freshness. The overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable, making it hard to focus on shopping.

In an age where customer experience is paramount, it’s disheartening to see a store neglecting these basic aspects. I truly hope they can take this feedback to heart and make some necessary changes, as I believe they have the potential to offer a much better shopping...

I had a pleasant experience at this mom and pop style grocery store. I’ve had Russian and Uzbek dishes and loved them, so trying this place has been on my list. Tashkent is a capital of Uzbekistan. It was pleasant to see Uzbek dishes in their hot meal section like plov.

I tried their cabbage role, was affordable and delicious!!

They have various products (teas, fruit preserves, seasonings, etc) and fresh produce, frozen Russian dumplings and dairy products(butter, kefir, cheese...), pastries, prepared foods, not to forget their all kinds of cured meats. They have some exotic fruits you won’t find in more common grocery stores.

I’m not sure if I’ll attempt their cakes that have been just sitting on their countertop with no covers of any sort. I think it might be a cultural thing?

Unless you’re coming here purely out of nostalgia, I wouldn’t recommend this store. I’ve been there several times, and the experience has been disappointing each time. The staff are unprofessional — they don’t smile, they often make mistakes at the register, and it’s unclear whether it’s intentional or just constant carelessness. The receipts don’t list item names, so you can’t even tell what you’re paying for, and overall the prices are overpriced. Overall, not a place...
