When my bf and I had the day off of work. We were looking for a massage place that would take a couples massage. At the time..I was calling around to all the spas I've been to..and none of them answered. Then I called this place and they answered immediately and said yes we can go in for a couples massage. At the time they weren't allowed to do massages inside. They had 2 canopies set up in front out in the parking lot. They were completely private. I felt very comfortable even being mostly naked outside in a parking lot. Lol. It was an interesting experience. All in all..this place was wonderful. They were willing to accommodate whatever would make us feel comfortable. My massage therapist was wonderful! She had strong hands which is what I like and she tried to get my stubborn knots out. diane is the most incredible massage therapist i've ever been in the care of. i've been coming to surin for well over a decade but have been seeing diane for over 8 years. i used to think i needed deep tissue or deep combo to work out the pain in my back and that if the massage was painful that meant it was working, but now i know that this isn't true. i now get traditional thai massage and trust that if i am clenching or in pain from too much, this isn't helpful, and diane has always been able to atune to my experience and not over extend my body. really appreciate that everyone at this place will check your hips and spine alignment, and will work out your tension or pain all the way back to the root in these areas. don't hesitate to try...

I like a good massage and I have been to many around LA. Most places give you nothing more than a rub down as another reviewer put it. If you're looking for it they might offer other services if that's what you want. The Surin Day Spa may not suit some people as an elegant place but it is clean, professional, reasonably priced, and has very friendly staff. Since it opened I have been going off and on over the years. The man at the desk has always been polite on the phone and in person. I believe the self-described hipster in the review got what he gave to the man at the desk. I have tried all but the Swedish massage.
