The Paleta Bar Los Lunas — Restaurant in Los Lunas

Don't get me wrong... I LOVE the Paleta Bar!!! They have delicious ice creams, and so many different new items I can't get enough. AND I out of all people understand marijuana is now "legal" I get it. I was a kid once too, but when I take my 5 yr old little boy to grab ice cream, and we walk into the Paleta bar (there is no one was there but employees) and there's a STRONG smell of Marijuana, (like they just smoked) That's not acceptable. Then on top of that the whole concept of the Paleta bar is for you to dress your ice cream the way YOU WANT TO! I have never had an issue, but on top of you smoking at work, then refusing to make my ice cream as I requested that was just two no, no's. I was very upset. The afternoon crew is awesome ! They are polite, friendly, and never had issues. Never smells like marijuana. I always go and enjoy an ice cream with my family. Never spend less then $50 but we have no complaints. It's Friday August 1st, at 11:30 AM. Whatever employees were on shift, need to be replaced, better trained or your just going to lose good customers, the employees should have the curtisy of smoking outside, and second understand that no matter what toppings I want on my ice cream if they offer it I should be able to get it. I am the one paying for it. If I want whatever it is and it's available I shouldnt have any questions asked. We spend lots of money there, the MAIN reason we go is to take our children out for a treat but having your employees smoking inside when your are employed in a "family establishment" first and foremost is #1 for me because though smoking marijuana is legal I refuse to have that around my 5 yr old little boy, or any child for that matter. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Paleta Bar in Los Lunas, New Mexico, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and outstanding customer service, thanks to Chino, one of the workers at the paleta bar. Chino's dedication to providing top-notch customer service was evident throughout my entire visit. He went above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable experience. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the products were truly impressive. Not only was Chino incredibly knowledgeable, but he also had a genuine passion for his work. He took the time to engage in friendly conversation, making me feel like a valued customer. His friendly demeanor and positive attitude created a welcoming atmosphere that made my visit all the more enjoyable. Pulled up in the parking lot to the front of paleta bar and the Mexican girl inside just stared me down with hatred as I walked in completely ignoring me with her back towards me and leaving me there standing there like an idiot. I was about to walk out and cuss her out when I heard another girl from the far back say “hello” and was kind enough to help me. Prettier and more knowledgeable, too than that slob trash working there tonight. Ultimately at the end of the transaction I told her “are you the only one working tonight?” And she just giggled not saying a word probably knowing that she was stuck with a young, lazy, entitled, ugly slob there that night.
