Browsed around yesterday. Holy hell! Fine-ish selection of whiskey for an airport store. But the prices are nightmarish.
I didn't see anything particularly special there (although I stop looking pretty quickly after the seeing the prices). I looked at a handful of bottles, and prices were about $30 to $70 more than what you could get at a chain liquor.
Skip this place. Just stop at the nearest liquor store when you get to your destination. No matter how crappy that liquor store is, it will almost certainly be cheaper than what you would get at Distillery District Marketplace.
You get grotesquely overcharged for drinks (from water to cocktails) at the airport. But that's because you don't have any choice -- no liquids at security. In this case, you do...
Read moreThis is a pretty pricey spot. I purchased something and came back for a friend. I asked for something that was out but was sitting in boxes by the shelf and the lady at the counter didn't want to open a box to get a bottle for me. When I walked out and left she walked out the store too 🤦♀️ I'll purchase elsewhere from now on and pack it in my...
Read moreDo NOT support this business and their insane pricing for local bourbon. Go to any local liquor store in Louisville and buy there, load up a bag to check in for your flight and you'll save HUNDREDS of dollars! I can understand "Airport pricing" to a certain extent but these people are 100% ripping you off by charging 3x-4x MSRP for bourbon that can be found ANYWHERE in Louisville. Not worth it. Shame on...
