I almost rated this lower - like 2 stars… but I want to consider that this Starbucks is in the airport and they stay busy especially in the morning and the gentleman who eventually helped me was so kind and polite.
It took over 35 minutes to get my coffee which I ordered on the mobile app and didn’t customize it, just ordered it as it comes. Simple, white chocolate mocha. They were very busy and my flight was delayed (surprise, surprise)- so I waited patiently… almost 40 minutes after ordering on the app I interrupted a busy (but kind) man working behind the counter and asked him to just double check that my order was still in the queue. He was so very polite despite the circumstances. They found my order sitting on another counter. I assume it had been ready for about 10 minutes but they didn’t put it on the counter where the mobile orders go (you know, where the lettered labels are for you to check for your drink based on your name.) And being that I was there for 40 minutes, I know for certain they didn’t call out my name. I recognize mistakes happen. Maybe I should’ve been more diligent to check the counter near the register but either way, I don’t want to leave a poor review because given the busy nature of this location, I understand it’s challenging.
With that said- hopefully management will read this:
You need MORE employees in the morning. Even if it’s just two more bodies. But not just bodies- actual dedicated customer-service-geared baristas. Of the people you have, there was maybe two people who worked at an appropriate pace. There was no sense of urgency to deliver excellence in customer service or in the beverages. It was below a leisurely pace, if I’m being honest. 90% of them didn’t recognize (or perhaps didn’t care) that the lines were piling up and people have planes to catch.
I wish I had gotten the name of the tall gentleman who helped me because despite the scene, he remained pleasant and professional. Get 4 more off him who can also move quickly and you’re going to fix this problem you’re seeing splayed out in these Google reviews.
Also- I recognize employees are hard to come by but business will always be better when service is excellent, and an excellent employee is worth every additional dollar you pay above standard...

This has to be the worst Starbucks in Louisville. It cannot be overstated how terrible this store is ran. I understand the baristas may be over worked, and they warned us that it would take 15-20 mins to make a cold drink as they had a ton of orders to fulfill (mine actually took 35 mins). In spite of this knowledge, there were two baristas behind the counter constantly yapping and slowing down the process (one of them was a red-head with glasses who seemed to be doing almost nothing). The young woman who served my drink didn’t read the label and made my drink super icy and was about to add whipped cream before I interrupted her. When I told her no whipped cream and asked her to make it less icy, she seemed to be annoyed and all she did was add a bunch of more milk to the mixture and nothing else, so my Frappuccino tasted weird. She was also a VERY slow worker, taking a whole 2 minutes just to open a carton of juice, but in the end had to have one of her coworkers do it for her because she didn’t have the strength, taking the coworker away from her tasks. Out of all 7 or 8 of them, there were probably 1 or 2 good workers. This store should really reconsider its current staff and try to pull in good performers from other stores, as this is a very busy store which seems to be staffed with some of the worst the city...
Read moreWorst experience i have ever had at a starbucks. They were extremely busy which is understandable. I have no problem waiting. However, when i placed my mobile order only one drink of my 2 were up there. I was still missing 2 sandwiches and 1 strawberry banana pouch for my daughter. After waiting one sandwich came. A total of 35 min before the sandwich lady told me the other sandwich i wanted they didn't have. Ok no biggie. Ill just take an alternative. Im still waiting on my second drink. (A frozen). After a total of 45 min i flag an employee down and tell them im missing a drink. A lady behind the counter rudely says the made that already, someone must have took it. Ok no biggie can it just get remade? They then find my frozen on another counter across the store, melted then tells me "i called it out im not remaking it!!". Maam you had it on the wrong counter. I was where i was supposed to be. They ignored me further and i still never received my daughters fruit pouch. Horrendous attitudes and behavior. I do not mind long waits. I understand they're busy. But when YOU put my drink on the wrong counter and dont acknowledge me for 45min bc i just thought you were behind on orders and i wasnt gonna add to your stress. Then make me the bad guy is...
