Over the past few years, I've gone through some big life transitions—like shifting from working in-person to WFH. My body has changed too—general fluctuations, exercise changes, pregnant, not pregnant. So I ended up with a closet full of great clothes that no longer fit my lifestyle or my body. I knew I had quality pieces, so I wanted to do more than just donate them. I also hoped to earn a little something to put toward a new wardrobe. Traditional resale spots like Plato’s Closet have always felt like a rip-off to me, so I started looking into consignment instead.
What drew me to Wear Forward is how inclusive it is—plus-size clothing is front and center, not an afterthought (there's plus size mannequins!). It genuinely feels like a store that values plus-size customers and consignors. Since most of my wardrobe ranges from sizes 14–20, it feels really good to consign with a shop that actively supports and celebrates size inclusivity. I've tried thrifting before, I know how hard it can be to find cute, quality pieces above a certain size. It’s nice to think that someone might get that same “thrill of the find” when they come across my clothes.
The store itself is super cute, and everyone I’ve met there has been kind and helpful. I brought in two large totes, and they sorted everything in under 30 minutes. This was my first time consigning, so I wasn’t sure what to expect—or if anything would actually sell. But less than two weeks later, I’ve already earned $100+!
The communication is also excellent; I get a daily update when something sells, including my running total. I love that they offer direct deposit too, which makes everything super easy.
I’ve already filled another tote with fall and winter clothes that I can’t wait to bring in next season. And when it’s time to rebuild my wardrobe, Wear Forward will be...
Read moreI am absolutely in LOVE with this consignment store!! My good friend brought me here a couple years ago and I go every chance I get ever since. I am not from the area, so sometimes my mom and I make a special trip just to get lunch and go out to Wear Forward- it is that cool!! The staff is always awesome and friendly, and they have the cutest stuff for such reasonable prices!! What I love too, is that it is super easy to consign with them!! They take so much more of my stuff than other consigning stores like Plato’s closet ever did! You get emails with updates on when your stuff sells and how much money you get per item sold, and also you do have the option to pick up your stuff at the end of I believe 90 days or you can have them donate it as well!! I always have them just donate it after the time is up because it’s usually stuff I no longer want, and it’s nice to drop it off there and then not worry about it cluttering my house!!:) I always leave with at LEAST one new item to take home too, because they always have a rotating selection and it is always so cute!! I totally recommend stopping by, but definitely be prepared to go home with a couple of gems- I don’t think I’ve ever left there unhappy or empty handed :) you guys...
Read moreI’ve been going to wear forward sense it’s first store and I’ve been supporting them for years and years and I was really disheartened to see how things have changed. I went in today to consign my clothes like I always do and the girl was very very rude. She was very snappy and demanding when it came to filling out the online paper work and I felt as if I went in with a really positive attitude and was friendly but it gets worse when I went to pick up the things that they rejected she told me they were to old and worn and they only took a few things in a really rude way and kicked my bags a crossed the floor to me scratching one of them I decided to put my items back because I felt very unwelcomed and uncomfortable with her attitude. Unfortunately lately I haven’t had good experiences except with owner Tori or Drew Swayze I just wish that there customer service was friendlier and more welcoming as I feel hostility every...
