There's two kinds of game shops, friendly welcoming ones and gatekeeping nerd ones. This is the bad kind.
When a new customer comes into your store and they ask you a direct question, it would be courteous to look up from your computer for half a second to give that customer the time of day.
I don't expect to get greeted the second I walk in but when there is nobody else in line and I'm directly talking to you like an adult, the least the person could do is look up from whatever internet search they're doing. They were the first person at the counter they should have at least pretended like I existed on their plain of existence.
Another nice employee had to answer for that employee and the rude employee for the entire time never once acknowledged me.
I'm assuming it's because I'm a woman in their shop or something, who knows, it was really disrespectful and rude and have no interest in coming back.

Read moreIt’s fine. They do have a colossal selection of board games and TCGs. Probably the best selection of board games I’ve ever seen in an LGS. However, their miniature games leave a lot to be desired. Odd selection and sells at MSRP. Paint selection is standard with Citadel, ProAcryl, and Army Painter. Has a couple of nice hobby tools. But due to prices, you might as well go to the Warhammer store or Lazarus instead if you’re on the east shore.
Their new space is huge, but I am not gonna lie, I prefer their old space on the east shore more. One because of proximity. They went from being ten to fifteen minutes away to over half an hour away. And two, it feels a little too large. I know that sounds strange, but that’s how I feel on that matter. Maybe that’s because I shopped there since 2013 and I’m used to the old space. They also carry Texas' Reaper miniatures line of 25/28 scale fantasy figures to paint or play games. And Wizards of the Coast lines of products.
They have manufacturer paints and brushes, other modeling tools, model kits, books and more. Things you can not get at the major chain craft stores. The place has several large game tables ready to demonstrate some games at any time, if you want to see how they work. They have store products opened and ready to try, to see if you might like them.
