We had a gorgeous wedding at The Club at Shannondell! I had multiple people come up to me at the wedding, asking how I learned about this gem of a venue, and honestly all I could say was sheer luck! Of all the wedding venues we toured, The Club at Shannondell had the most personality, had the most delicious smelling food wafting in from the onsite restaurant, and we knew it would be where we got married. Huge shoutout to the Events Manager, Roxanne, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and a huge help.
Here is a couple of key things that make this place stand out above the others:
-Chadwick's, the onsite restaurant and source of our catering, was delicious. We chose the Stations menu, and every single item was incredible, even the passed appetizers during cocktail hour looked handmade, and my only regret is having so much to do as the bride that I couldn't eat more! However, our dinner was spectacular with multiple chef-attended stations, and I felt like we got an incredible value for the experience.
-Ballroom space: This venue is so beautiful and requires minimal additional decor. From the huge black chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to the giant fireplace in the center of the room, there is a wonderful warmth to the room that is hard to fake. For my wedding of about 60 people, it was a perfect amount of space. Iâd caution that it might be a little cramped for 150+ guests, but if youâre struggling to find the âjust rightâ sized venue, you may find some luck here!
-Package value: We saved a lot of money using this venue simply because there are so many perks associated! By booking through The Club at Shannondell, we received our cake complimentary from The Masterâs Baker, the centerpieces were covered by Moleâs Flowers, we got a free game of golf at the course for 4 people, we had an incredible private menu tasting, and also got a free hotel room for our wedding night (and free shuttle for guests!). Overall, there was a lot of savings without compromising on quality! However, if you are planning on having a large bridal party, the bridal suite may be slightly small, though that was not an issue for my situation.
-Staff: As I mentioned, Roxanne the event manager did an amazing job throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, the dining staff were wonderful as well. They checked up on us frequently and I must give a special shoutout to the server who personally fetched my husband and I dinner ahead of everyone else.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and whenever we are craving our wedding food again, we can always head on over to The Club at Shannondell and eat...
Read moreThereâs a reason tee times are frequently available while others are booked, and we wonât be coming back here anytime soon. $77 and our tee time was nearly 30 mins behind. They had 3 rangers staffed but all they did was stand around the podium under the umbrella, while one would walk over and start people. But donât worry, they were making sure people didnât park to close because âitâs going to get busy laterâ and made players coming in move their cars farther off into the parking lot. No instructions were given about keeping pace of play, and we didnât see a ranger the entire round. Our tee time was 9:48 and we didnât tee off until 10:20. Pace was dragging on the front and we didnât finish until 3:09. No cart girls or guys selling refreshments on a 90+ degree day either, and the water jugs were empty. Remember how it was âgoing to get busyâ? Well there were 6 people at the restaurant when we left, good thing those lazy rangers were focused on parking instead of keeping the pace upâŚ
On top of all that the first hole is dogleg right down a hill, so youâd think one of those rangers would go down to the corner and radio back when itâs all clear - nope, they were useless and didnât seem like they understood their job or want to work so we stood there hoping the next group wouldnât start teeing into us while we waited for the group ahead to finish on the green. Itâs very clear management is terrible here, which is a shame bc the course was fun.
On a positive note, the groundskeepers do a great job here and keep the course in good shape - the only...

Water hazards on at least three holes. Very unforgiving. Golf course gets 5 Stars. Have eaten at the restaurant and bar as well. Often go to the bar unconnected to playing golf. Usually quiet older crowd. Great setting and great place to go and just chill. Live music on the weekends. Bartenders are somewhat light on the volume of the drinks. 4 Stars. The restaurant, Chadwicks, has a good menu. Good tasting food. Wait staff changes frequently and thus they often seen confused, somewhat harried and thus poor sometimes rude service. The restaurant Manager seems distant, unfriendly and unapproachable. Love the outside dining during the season. Awesome setting on the beautiful 18th hole. However, it's serenity is often destroyed by live music. Love the music in the Bar. Not needed outside it destroys a beautiful setting. Restaurant...
