Flint Boot & Hat Shop — Local services in Lubbock

Took my Dad to Flint looking for a new felt. We met the owner who had a wide assortment of hats to choose from on the shelf which was surprising considering this is most prominently a custom hat shop. He cut the hat to the proper brim size desired and was a MASTERFUL hat shaper. With few details needed he could read exactly what we were looking for. He was also flexible and patient while shaping. Dad has had the hat about 2 months now and he claims it is by far the best hat he has ever worn. We will certainly be returning for more hats for the whole family. Also the price was very fair and transparent. Overall an excellent experience and product....

I took my favorite pair or "working" boots (HH Buckaroos) into Flint's for a complete resole and reheel build along with the installation of some sole protector rubber outsole. They did a fabulous job - made my favorite boots look and feel like new. They completed the work on time and within the quoted amount for the overall repairs requested. I'll definitely bring all my boots back in whenever they need to be rebuilt. Next up, maybe it's time for a custome hat. Never had one those - always bought them off the shelf. It would be interesting to see what the cost would be to have one built from...

I had significant water stains on my boots, and to other boot repair places in town said that they cannot do anything but polish them and that you would still be able to see the stain. I dropped by friends to see what they thought, and they said that they could d glaze the boots, and then dye them slightly darker. He said that I might still be able to see the stain, but it was worth a shot. Well I just picked them up, and they look good as new....
