I just wanted to preface this review with the fact that this place has good atmosphere and great live music. The reason this review has one star is that the staff is absolutely terrible! I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and would never imagine treating a customer, let alone another human being, the way my party was treated. We were waiting at the bar to order a drink and I recall one of the waitresses saying "you need to get out of my way" we didn't realize we were standing at the part of the bar where they dropped off empty glasses. I understand that tension runs high when a business is busy but that kind of behavior is uncalled for. Especially from someone on payroll! Even the bartenders acted as if it was a burden to take our orders. We didn't even get mixed drinks. I get that this place is a dive but that's no excuse to be treated badly. If you can turn a blind eye to the rude employees this place is great! The performers are awesome and the interior is very cool. The customer service experience for me was just absolutely subpar. (If you sit near the stage and don't order anything I'm sure you will have...
Read moreAwful service. The waitress obviously didn’t want to talk to us. I asked for a shot and she walked away before I even told her what I would like to purchase. When she brings back what she assumes I wanted, I tried to explain that she never allowed us a chance to speak. She argued that the order had already been placed and that I could order a shot on top of what she had selected. Seriously? Later, our friends met up for a grad celebration. We never ever left O bar and I go up to close my tab and our waitress says: “Oh, you’re still here.” Yup. Been here the whole time. She also couldnt remember taking my credit card and I’m not thrilled about where it was being kept. This place is terrible and I would still like to know why our waitress was so hateful. I even left a good tip despite the fact that service was bad, because I know it’s difficult to make ends meet. All the same, interpersonal skills would go a long way. ...
Read moreIt’s a neat little hangout spot, for the most part. A little hole in the wall/dive bar, The main area allows smoking, so unless you like being in that environment it’s a little gross. Food is pretty decent, they get fresh oysters on Wednesdays and they’re alright, the ones from the Texas coast tend to be large but bland. Drinks are pretty solid, but service is pretty rough. I’ve definitely met a few guys here and there that have good service, but I’ve also seen a lot more of poor service when I’ve been there. From bartenders cussing out customers for ordering oysters because they have to be shucked, to a certain female server we frequently see so busy flirting with old drinking regulars that she neglects her other customers, I would say service could use a boost in organization and professionalism. It also does get pretty loud in there, which isn’t a problem but it’s worth noting to see if it may be your...
