Joyful Poppin — Local services in Lubbock

My pregnant girlfriend has been craving popcorn all week, so after her doctor’s appointment we made the drive from Wolfforth (about 15–18 minutes across town) just to finally treat her to something she was excited about. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

The woman at the register (owner/worker) was extremely rude, impatient, and made my girlfriend feel unwelcome. Which is the last thing you’d expect when you’re simply trying to buy a snack. On top of that, the prices are shockingly high. A small difference in cup size shot the price up by about $12, which feels unreasonable compared to what’s being offered.

We left feeling more upset than happy, which completely defeated the purpose of the trip. Customer service matters, especially when people go out of their way to support a local business. Sadly, this was not the welcoming or enjoyable experience...

Fantastic popcorn, big poofy pieces, generous, evenly, and appropriately flavored, and I feel it’s worth the price. We purchased: cinnamon bun white chocolate oreo chile lime birthday cake salted caramel white cheddar

and I’d get each of them again. The whole family, from kids to grandparents, kept reaching in for more as we were chilling in the living room chatting and celebrating a birthday. My personal favorites were cinnamon bun, white chocolate, and birthday cake which was a big surprise to me! Though I have a sweet tooth.

I really appreciate that the salty flavors were more subtle so that it’s flavored popcorn and not an overwhelming flavor with a side of popcorn. The sweeter flavors are a dessert more than anything, and I’m all for it.

Local business with a fantastic product....

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I won’t be back. We got 3 different flavors, nothing was evenly flavored (either way too much flavor or none at all), and our popcorn in all the bags was old tasting and stale. I’m definitely glad we gave this place a try prior sending out to everyone...
