Oriental Market 金城超市 — Local services in Lubbock

Out of all the oriental grocers in lubbock the staff or owners should I say have to be the RUDEST people I have ever come across in dealing with a buissness. The previous owner was just as Rude. I do a lot of oriental cooking so I am in quite often. At any visit I have never had these people be pleasant or polite.... If it wasn't for the fact they have the largest inventory, believe me. I would not even step into this store, If you have a question / well forget it. They cut you off so quick and then just walk off and leave you standing there with you mouth open believing no they surely are not this rude. It is not a culture thing either, it is just a pure fact they do not want to be bothered with you period.... My suggestion is Far East Market on 34th St. Somewhat smaller but the owner Sunny he and his wife is so nice, helpful, and polite. I love going there because of the courtesy that this couple displays with there customers. So you see you do have a better option, plus if it is something you are needing and if he doesn't stock it Sunny will get it at market in Dallas weekly for you. Great people to...

Good place to stock up on dry noodles, sauces and spices. Bulk rice. Has instant noodle aisle plus frozen options with buns and other goodies, refrigerated family noodle packs. Treats, candy. Cabbage plus other veggies, fruit and specialty frozen meats. Dry, dehydrated imports etc. Also has kitchen utensils plus decor. Unique gift options. Staff is very friendly. Out of the asian markets in the area, this one is the biggest I’ve found. They have a pretty solid selection of stuff, and I’ve grown to be pretty reliant on this store and their products over my years here. They carry some stuff that are great but rare and hard to find in most stores. I’m a big fan of their noodle selection, as well as their sauces and seasoning selections.
