I just want to start this off by saying I used to work for SDG from late 2018 to 2020 - and I worked my way from a cashier to a kitchen shift lead. That being said, tonight (4/22/22) my husband and I had a call in order. We ordered a taco wrap w/ waffle fries (that part was right) and a zesty Thai ranch salad with crispy chicken and NO tomatoes. Simple enough. Got all the way home to see tomatoes on my salad, mind you I did specifically ask for no tomatoes. I called the restaurant, told the girl (who was also the same girl who took my order, Serina, who is a SHIFT LEAD! and even had it on there that there was supposed to be no tomatoes.) on the phone my problem. She said, “I’m sorry about that.” I said, “Okay.” Which she replies “I’m sorry I’m not sure what you want us to do unless you want it remade.” I have a 5 month old, didn’t really want to put him back in the car and go all the way back, not that I didn’t want a remake, but it’s inconvenient. Had I been a different customer, maybe one with an allergy to tomatoes, how would they of handled it then? They apparently act appropriately to allergies, but not this evening. From there it was just completely unprofessional and unhelpful - from a shift lead, the person who is supposed to do the “better job” and have great communication UNPROFESSIONAL! I’m sorry to pull the card, but when I worked there we were definitely more apologetic and offered more than one solution to fix the problem, not “I’m sorry I don’t know what you want us to do.” I love SDG still to do this day, but this was disappointing and not to the normal standard I thought they could be held to.

Great value for the price. Delicious food. I had the chicken fried steak spud & hubby ordered the california something or other. Apart from the additional toppings being a little more costly than we thought (almost half the price of the spud) it was great! Portions are spot on. Tea wasn't (in my humble opinion) the "best in town" but it was fresh & very good! We will def try the different flavors next time. Very beautifully decorated. Loved the vibe. Staff was very nice and attentive, even coming out to offer refills. We paid about $27 for 2 spuds & 2 buckets of sweet tea 😂 2 extra small cups of cheese, a small cup of gravy and some butter squares was $4. The spud cost $9.99 so 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk enough about math or restaurant pricing but was a little steep in my opinion. I like my spud topped to the last bite though so we paid up lol. We will definitely be back! S/N - they have this awesome long bar with outlets and USB ports so it looks to be a great place to have lunch when needing to do some work or school stuff!!

We came in after church to try it. We enjoyed the variety of food, and the quick service. They have everything from asian bowls, to pasta, to baked potatoes. We got Johnny bites and fries zucchini for appetizers, and the Johnny bites we the best! They were honestly the best fried potato type food I've ever eaten. My husband got a cheesey steak sandwich he said it was excellent. My mother in law got Szechuan chicken bowl. She said it had the perfect amount of spice. I got a baked potato and it was HUGE! I couldn't finish the whole thing. They weren't skimpy on the toppings either. Kids portion are nice and big. Honestly if you are an adult with a smaller appetite the kids portion would be enough. The service was on point. Even though it's an order at the counter, fast casual place, the people continued to check to make sure we had everything we needed. Great experience we would definitely go back!

I rarely leave reviews or say anything about businesses but I feel I should leave this one!! My daughter and my friend and I went to this place to eat somethings different grill on 50th yesterday it was my first time being there and it started off great!! The young lady who took our order behind the counter was very sweet and patient we got our food and sat down well the kind lady brought us out our other food and we were sitting at one of the smaller tables and she asked me if we would like a bigger table so we all agreed and she moved us to the back booth by a window ok fine so we set our food ON the table and got ready to sit down and another lady comes (manager I am assuming because she was sitting with another guy at the tall tables looking at applications) she asks if she can close that blind to that window because of the sun we said ok so she points and says I have to step up there my friend and I were thinking she meant the booth seat so we said ok she got up on the booth seat the put her TENNIS SHOE on the table next to my daughters food and stood there to close the blinds I was dumbfounded I didn’t know what to say then she got down didn’t even offer us a towel to clean the area we couldn’t believe it!! My daughter then mentioned she saw her outside when we pulled up by dumpsters?? OMG if she felt it was ok to put her foot on the table with food then there is no telling what else that was thought to be ok!!! I don’t think we will be...

We had a luncheon get together this week and one of the group suggested the Something Different Grill on 50th east of Quaker. She had gotten food to go and was pleased with the food and the price. We went in at 1 pm and were surprised by the beautiful peaceful decor. The walls were stained wooden slats accented with a variety of woven baskets. Simple and clean. The dining area had booths and tables that were spaced so that your table was far enough away so you weren't in the middle of a near table conversation. We ordered at the counter and with in ten minutes we had our fried pickle appetizer delivered to our table. It was delicious! The pickles were battered lightly and fried to a golden crispy state. It was hard not to eat all of them, but we had to save room for our entrees. The chicken teriyaki bowl was large enough to share with plenty of rice, chicken and veggies...and the wrap was large and filled with plenty of ingredients to make it delicious. It too could be shared easily. This restaurant is one of those that you drop in and then can't get it out of your mind. I have tried to figure out when my husband and I can get away to go eat there. The portion sizes are large, the price is minimal. Perhaps we will see you there, if not today, then...
