Red Raider Donut Shop — Restaurant in Lubbock

My first time going to Red Raider Donut and I don't think I'll return. The donuts were okay, but the cashier was not. Only drive-thru is open due to the SARs COVID-19 pandemic, so I could understand if she was a little frustrated with business today, but she was all around rude. I was ordering for a friend as well as myself and after I stated two items, she gave me a price and stood there waiting for my payment; when I informed her I still needed to order more, she gave an exasperated look. I handed her my card and started listing the last couple items when she walked away and when she returned, she handed me my card and receipt without even giving me an updated price before running it. I then let her know I wasn't done and had intended on ordering an orange juice, and she stared at me like she had no idea what it was. I told her nevermind, and when I got the food and checked the receipt, I realized I had been overcharged 4 dollars. Get better customer service...

Made a trip several times to the Red Raider Donuts Shop and have always enjoyed the service and Donuts but it seems the running theme if you used a debit card you always get the "Buy More" from the owner. I come in to get a $2 sweet roll and I get met with "Buy More" or do you have cash. No.... I do not have cash and #2 I want one sweet roll no more no less.

Here's my point. If you except debit.....except debit. If not, put CASH ONLY on your door and move on. Don't make it inconvenient for your customers to pay for your product.

My Go-To donut shop in Lubbock!

Red Raider Donut Shop is easily one of the best spots in town. The staff is incredibly friendly—when I went in, the lady behind the counter surprised me with an extra cake donut for free, which completely made my morning. The donuts themselves are top-notch: soft, fresh, and perfectly sweet. The icing especially stands out—smooth, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. Between the welcoming service and the quality of the donuts, this shop definitely deserves five stars. I’ll be coming back...
