SK Games — Local services in Lubbock

This business LOST my business and my RESPECT after today…..

I went in to try and sell some pokemon cards. After one of the employees looked at my cards I was told that the value was a little NORTH of $700, and they would offer me $300…..

You’re only gonna offer me $300 for $700 worth of cards……… (that ticked me off, I know y’all need to make money but more then DOUBLING off me ain’t right. Especially when one of my cards is worth what I was offered for over 200 cards!

The MAIN thing that made me lose my respect and business with this place is when after I was hesitant about the offer, I was told basically the offer I got from this place was the best price I’m gonna get in town. I was told “we pay 40%, 15 more percent than others in town where they pay around 25%”. REALLY not only are you gonna LOWBALL the daylights out of me but your gonna LIE to try and convince me to sell.

I called multiple shops all over town and they all told me the same thing……

They pay 60%-80% (not 25%🙄) Or Depending on the cards value will determine the percentage, but with my cards it would be the 60%-80% range

And

After telling them who told me all the others only pay around 25%, I was hit with “yay that’s exactly why me and tons of over people stopped going to SK, all they do is lie and try to manipulate you into selling your cards. Making it seem like they are the “BEST” price in town!

When you have to LIE to customers/sellers and LOWBALL when running a business…. All that says is “I’m a business that cares more about money then my customers”

What hurts the most is I went to this business FIRST because I thought they were the best shop to go to. Hahahaha boy was I wrong. THANK EVERYTHING I DIDN’T SELL TO THEM!

(Sold those cards valued at over $700 for close to $500 else where at another shop……)

SK Games is the best store in Lubbock for trading card games! They offer singles, sealed product, and daily tournament events for Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Digimon, and Star Wars Unlimited.

In addition to the great selection and wonderful staff, the prices at SK Games are incredibly affordable. You won't find lower prices for trading cards in Lubbock. Or, if you're looking to sell your cards, they buy at the highest rates in town.

Met SK games at the Permian Basin Comic Con at Midland. And from right off the start Ian the owner was an amazing person and very grateful for the interaction. His product at the convention was amazing the deals were outstanding. Overall a great experience and had a moment I would never forget the rest of my life. And whenever I go to Lubbock I’m definitely going to their store and I’ll probably be there all day. Very grateful for the experience with SK Games as Ian and Brandon were very nice, honest in trades and value and overall great people.
