One of the worst pizza ordering experiences ever.
After driving for 10 hours, we check into our hotel and order a pizza online for the best deal. I had called in directly, and was told to do that.
I ordered the two medium pizza deal that was suppose to come with four topping (2 on each) which was simple enough online, however, the numbers didn't add up and there was no itemized break down anywhere on the website. I decided to complete the order certain that the human being taking my money could take care of my concerns when I got the the restaurant.
I arrive and immediately, politely ask for an explanation because the numbers didn't add up. The young man behind the counter says "sure" and prints the receipt. Just like on the website, there is no itemized break down, just the total.
I point out that the math is wrong and why. The guy tells me that I am wrong and that extra cheese is not a topping. As soon as I questioned the insanity, explaining that cheese is in fact a topping, he cops an attitude and tells me that it is and always has been. I explain that I've been ordering pizzas from pizza restaurants for decades (since long before he was born) and that though sauce has never been a "topping," that cheese has always been a topping. He argued with me displaying an escalating bad attitude as we debated the issue.
1.) Whether Pizza Hut considers cheese a topping or not is irrelevant. No other pizza place would be stupid enough to try to tell a paying customer that cheese is not a topping. I've ordered pizzas countless times and can recall clearly being told every time I wanted "extra cheese" that it would count as an extra topping. That is a fact. PERIOD.
2.) Both the Pizza Hut website and the final receipt FAIL to provide an itemized explanation of the actual charges. This is misleading and wrong in every way.
3.) It's not about the money, though that clearly matters, at this point it's about the principle. This is bad business in every way and the guy was a total ass. PERIOD.
I will never buy from Pizza Hut again, and I will be sharing this experience with their corporate office, exactly as I promised the young fella behind...
Read moreThis place has gotten so terrible lately! For the past few months quality has gone down in both service and quality of food. I placed an online order for 1 large pizza for pickup and received the order confirmation email as usual but with a wait time of over an hour. That was way to long for me and my family so I decided ASAP to cancel it. I was not upset or angry I just figured they where busy but I have a family to feed so decided to go somewhere else. Less than 1 minute after I place the order I call the store to cancel. I call for more than 30 min with no answer at all. By this point I’m already out getting burgers for my family and decide to stop by the store since NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE. When I arrive at the drive through I wait for about 5 min before someone comes to the window. The entire time I hear the phone ringing constantly with no answer and 3 employees standing around the register hanging out. I finally got my refund on my credit card but I really would not recommend this place. Or if you do order here DO NOT PAY UPFRONT at least if you have to deal with nonsense you don’t have to bother getting a hold of them for a refund. Another month goes by and try ordering another pickup Order. I got my food really quick. Literally about 30 min after I ordered it I was picking it up. I got home right away to a barely warm pizza that had sausage on it. There’s was about a pound of sausage balls on the pizza and every single one of them rolled off the pizza into the box... I was 2 minutes away from home and realized I was only given 5 breadsticks ... called store and spent 10 minutes on Hold ... I was driving back and was 5 minutes from Pizza Hut store and someone answered when I explained what was going on she asked for my phone number to look up order ... she said that on “her screen” it shows breadsticks .... I told her online it said “double order 10 sticks” and she said “well on my screen it shows only breadsticks so you only get 5 sticks . She offered to let me talk to a manager . I’m sorry but a manager shouldn’t ALWAYS have to be spoken to when it comes to a customer receiving what they ordered and it being correct . Poor customer service on their end . I turned around and went home and now my family is eating cold pizza that I ordered at 6:02 ... we are finally eating 54 minutes later at 6:56 because we barely made it to my driveway!!
