Amazing hands and heart at Sophisticuts Salon. She made me feel beautiful.
Update 10/30/2020: 2 Stars Employee: Liz, fantastic receptionist. Quoted $100 for all over color and style. (Paid $130, because I "got highlights and lowlights too"?- Which I think is the only thing that the employee, America, did- and not the all over color) Employee: America, never have I ever had my hair colored without being provided color swatches. Or have I spent so many hours at a salon (didn't get out until 5PM) without having a keratin treatment, cut, highlight, and all over color. She was the only employee NOT wearing a mask, and this type of thing, social distancing isn't possible. However, I came in with a card of how I wanted my hair colored, and she turned it down, saying "it would be hard to keep up with"--- I arrived at 12:20 for my 12:30 appt, she took me back at 1:10pm. Without the swatches, she just hand mixed some what I thought was brown (she didn't measure anything). She was constantly on her phone texting & calling, attempting to make arrangements for the evening, getting more calls, answering them- saying that she would be working later than she thought. The first color turned out horrible, it was like a greyish blonde 5 inches towards the ends, with blond highlights (BTW, my whole head wasn't covered, she used foil and bits were sticking out at the end), and it made me look older. But, at the beginning she stated "if we didn't get it right, we can always do it again" Needless to say, we had to do it again. But, what she didn't tell me is that she would be taking on another client once she messed up the first time. So instead of finishing up with me on my second trip to the hair dryer, she took on another client with beautiful long hair, also getting highlights. So I sat at the dryer, after it turned off, for about 45 minutes.
However, if you avoid America, I recommend Kristi Gowdy, but Sophisticuts has lost...
Read moreI've been coming with Lisa for 15 plus years. I've followed her wherever she goes. If something comes up because you know life happens she does her best to accommodate your needs. Mind you yes, I've waited passed my appointment time from time to time but this a hair salon and sometimes you go over the time just like a doctor's office. She's also been cutting my kids hair for 11 plus years and never fails me. Even when my kids keep asking her for a Edger haircut. As for Liz, her assistant, she helps communicate between Lisa and the client. She greets us every time we walk in and conversates with us when we wait for Lisa when she is not busy. I'll finish off by saying, Lisa cares for her clients, on her day off she went to my late father's therapy hospital to give him a haircut and before his passing she went above and beyond for him when he was scheduled...
Read moreI have been really hesitant for years to get my hair layered again after I had trusted a lady to do it and she did choppy layers. I went to sophisticuts and asked who could do long layers they right away pointed me to Jennifer chavez. She did amazing! My layers are flowy! They all blend in very well together and she made my hair sooooo soft! Her personality was so friendly and welcoming. She held a very good conversation and was very professional and polite the whole time! She didn’t make me feel pressured into something that I didn’t want.I definitely...
