Belk — Local services in Lufkin

There are some good deals & styles to be found at Belk. I like the money I save when shopping there even though MOST of the time I can't use any of the coupons or discounts mailed to me because they arrive in my mailbox too late or there are so many exclusions my purchases normally do not apply. The clothing racks are placed very close together making it difficult to navigate through the departments. The racks, themselves, are very crowded & unorganized with clothing as well, especially the clearance racks, making it difficult to find what your looking for. Most fitting rooms are closed forcing a customer to search for the one that is open which is frustrating. Once found, the fitting rooms are not clean. There is built-up dust along the walls & the floors need to be vaccumed more frequently. The managers & corporate personnel should allow time for daily cleaning & organizing, especially within the women's department knowing it's the most shopped department in their stores. The store is dark in some sections making it difficult to judge the articles color & quality. The shoe department has been upgraded with better shelving for boxes & displays, but it is still crowded, messy & disorganized and should be vaccuumed more frequently as well. I won't let myself wander into the department containing the hanging display of jewelry. It's so unorganized I become too frustrated to shop. It looks like the jewelry display at an amateur garage sale. Although it is sad to say, it is one of the better department stores remaining...

Well to start I work retail and I know the ways to my discounts . so I decided to apply for a credit card and get 20% off . I specifically asked the 2 girls do I get the discount for applying I don't have credit I won't get accepted. Both was like yes mam yada yada .. And so I applied only to figure out I've been lied to and I would only get the discount if I was accepted and paid with a belks card..... Belks in Lufkin used to be a great place with awesome customer service. Lately when I shop every dress shirt is thrown in different areas and in the wrong place. I couldn't find anyone to help me. Whenever I asked for assistance they directed me to a different person. Finally, I went to check out and was directed to the fragrance check out and she directed me to someone else to check out. Belks has awesome dress clothes and the reason I continued to shop there but yesterday they did not have very much selection and the prices seemed to have been a little higher than usual.
