While visiting family in October, we went shopping downtown. The White Peacock was a real treat and one of my favorites. The store was fun and inviting, and the gentleman was very knowledgeable. I remembered all the fun and yum at Christmas and wanted to send a gift box to my dad in Washington state. I called, and after telling Emma what I had in mind, she made some suggestions and went out of her way to put it together, package it up, and ship it out. She went above and beyond, exceeding my expectations! It was a hit with dad, who said I knocked it out of the park. It’ll be tough to top next Christmas!...

Will not return! Have purchased olive oil here since they opened. Now, terrible customer service. Last several trips to buy oil, had to return two or three times to complete the transaction. Latest, closed for inventory when they don't open until noon. Then this time cannot refill because of a water droplet in neck of bottle. Never said anything previous purchases. Previous trip, store was empty, neighbor shop keeper said employee ran home, didn't know when they might return. We have been loyal customers but now going to Houston to buy. I'm tired of making two or three...

This place is a wonderful addition to Lufkin Downtown. My friend and I went in for the first time and we were very impressed with the variety of both olive oils and white and dark vinaigrettes. The family that runs The White Peacock were very informative and also allowed us to try several even mixtures of oils with vinaigrette together.
