First, the beer is excellent. I tried three different ones although only two were new to me. Rusty Axe’s blackberry IPA (Wobble Cobbler) is by far an outstanding ale. The honey wheat and the pink grapefruit IPA are also very well done in their styles. The atmosphere is very upscale, modern, and relaxed. During my brief visit I also had a pizza, which was very good as well. I was impressed to find they have a dinner menu distinct from the lunch menu. My only complaint was with the service, and to some it might have been minor. I chose to sit at the bar rather than a table. I was visiting in the early afternoon on a Saturday and there was little traffic in the brewery. However, the gentleman tending the taps at the bar seemed more intent on visiting with other patrons at the bar rather than check on my needs. I ordered a pizza finally after having to wait and once the order was in, he promptly left with another coworker to attend to something. I noticed my pizza had been completed and was waiting under the heat lamp. And I continued to wait. There were far more servers in the establishment than customers and no one seemed to care that an ordered food item was completely unattended to and in the meantime there was no one staffing the bar area. My pizza was eventually brought to me by someone that I think was a manager who had been sitting at the end of the bar playing on his phone. I think i would have had better service had I sat at a table. At any rate, I will visit this brewery again as the beer itself is certainly worth it. The food seems to be good as well as the menu items appeared to be of quality. I’m not sure but the pizza crust seemed to be made with harvested brewers yeast, and if so, is certainly in their favor. Last, but not least, I also had brought my trusty 1 gallon uKeg CO2 pressurized growler for a fill of their blackberry IPA. The bartender seemed to be unfamiliar with filling such containers but accommodated me well and I was on my way. Overall, a good experience, but service (especially during a slow time) could...
Read moreThis was my second time coming here last night 7/27 and it’ll probably be my last. I really wanted to like this place but the first time I went was with a friend of mine and we went when they were fairly new and the food wasn’t that great. Almost a year later me and my husband wanted to go to dinner before a movie so I decided to give it another shot. The food was much better this time except my pizza was super greasy but was still was decent. The problem this time was the server (name I do not remember) but she was SUPER slow. I mean to the point where we almost left. She took forever to bring us our drinks and take our order. She came 15 mins later to take our order after dropping our drinks off. We ordered an appetizer and we got it quickly which was nice but then not even five mins later our entrees came out. So we couldn’t even enjoy the appetizer for a little before our food came out. I waited over 10 mins for a water refill I almost asked another server if she could get me it. Only thing we didn’t have to wait for was paying (thank god) and probably because by the time she checked on us again we had our card out to pay. I was a server for 10 years I get when you’re busy but this was ridiculous. She didn’t seem that busy and when we got there it was slow hardly any tables were sat. It was really just...
