We were absolutely thrilled that this place was busy when we visited (around 3 in the afternoon), because we want it to stay in business for a LONG LONG time!
Despite the number of customers - mostly take-out while we were there - we had our choice of tables, and the waitperson checked in on us regularly, refilled our drinks before we would need to ask, and kept us updated on how our order was going.
And the food!!! We had the hummus, the lamb kabobs, the lamb kofta kabobs, the chicken tikka, both kinds of rice, and the green veggies, and enjoyed everything we got and were delighted to take portions of the generous servings home for later. We also had tahini dip, which was delicious - but our kabobs were exquisitely flavorful with or without it. Sooooooo good!
I tried some of my table partner's lamb kofta, which is not usually something I like very much - but this was subtly different, with an aromatic flavoring of ... nutmeg? allspice? Well, something in that family. I loved it!
My table partner was thrilled to see Turkish coffee on the menu, not something you usually find in this part of Texas; he ordered some at the end of the meal and especially pleased that it was authentically prepared. Not being a coffee drinker, I went for the crepe with chocolate and fruit, which was HUGE and DELICIOUS! Fresh blueberries on top with whipped topping, strawberries on the side, and what must have been a whole sliced banana inside along with thick yummy chocolate, plus chocolate sauce over the whole thing. I was glad my partner was willing to share!
We also enjoyed the light jazzy music that played while we were there, as well as the brightly-colored wall decorations with exotic scenes. Even the salt-and-pepper shakers were varied and colorful! The pleasant ambiance added to...

I ordered the lamb kofta plate with rice and fries and the rice tasted reheated. It was very crunchy and it wasn't freshly made. The lamb kofta was very dense, moreso than any other one I had. The saving grace were the fries, they were nicely seasoned and crispy.
My significant other ordered the beef kebab plate and I was told it was okay but it needed seasoning. We ordered some sauces to go with our meal as normally when you order from a Mediterranean restaurant you get sauces with your order. We were not told about the prices of the sauce ahead of time and they were added to our bill at an extra cost.
The sambosk were okay but there were cold spots in the middle like they air fried it but didn't fully allow them to cook.
The cauliflower was okay, it needed some type of dipping sauce to go with it to make it excellent.
Overall, I would not return here. There are other places to go to to get your fix and unfortunately this isn't one I...
Read moreWe visited this place on a Saturday around 3.00 pm. The place seemed a little empty as that was only their 7th day. We were offered a free appetizer (criapy deep-fried chips, melted cheddar cheese, and a red spicy sauce). We ordered spring rolls and Lamb kebabs that came with 2 sides. As sides, we had veggies and yellow rice. It took a while for the Lamb kebabs to arrive but once they do, we completely understood why. The spring rolls were perfect for my taste bud. The veggies were perfectly charred and very very tasty and the yellow rice was soft with perfect seasonings. The kebabs (2 rolls in one order) were really delicious. The order also came with a small humus bowl but wasn't so sure what to eat with (a naan bread would have been nice). The nicest things of all are the foods were made fresh and halal. Overall, the food was worth my money. I hope that this place and their quality...
