I got some serious, big-time, big-league customer service from Laurie today. I walked the store in awe, jaw hanging open while he was helping another customer. He met me and asked what I was looking for: Ariat Cascade 8” lace up steel toe square toe. He immediately said that this model has been discontinued. Heavy, old tech. A poor seller. Damn I thought. I walked past a pair of Thorogood boots on the counter. The most beautiful pair of boots I’ve ever seen. Waterproof, 8” lace up. Steel toe. Leather, made in USA. So comfortable. I don’t think I’ll wear tennis shoes ever again. He also sold me some Ariat square toe slip ons and told me exactly how they should fit and feel. (I’ve never owned slip ons.) Anyway he told me about the Thorogood refurbishment program and warranty and showed me many models and options but I was a goner when I saw the Thorogoods. Huge selection, big time help from my man. A great western shop with tons of great stuff hats knives holsters. What a day. ...

I went to buy some work boots yesterday after work I bought the boots go home look on the ariat website they listed at 129.99 tell me why I was charged $171. So I go back today ask can I do a return he says no. I said well why was I charged such & such if their this price on the website. he says well we try to match ariats prices so he takes out his phone goes to ariat website and says ma'am their listed for 159.99 on their site. I asked him could he let me see what he was looking at he never would he tried to play me so I went on the site on my phone then he wanna get on the cp and try to look them up again and say no your right they are listed for 129.99. thats so messed up man I'll never buy another pair there. He thought cause I was on my phone yesterday I won't paying attention b yu ain't messing with no slow...

We loved shopping here - it's easy to drop by if you're driving along I-95. We were really lucky to be served by Lory, one of the owners, and he sure does know his boots. We were replacing some cowboy boots we bought in Texas many years ago that disappeared during a house move back in Australia. Hubby and I both got American-made boots (it was hard to choose, there is a great selection) plus hubby got a new belt and a fancy buckle too (plenty to choose from also).
