Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Lumberton

Worst service ever that my family and I received I was coming from upstate ny to Florida for a cruise and stopped here for dinner my family and I waited in the lobby for about 10 minutes I asked one of the workers walking by were they still opened he said yes I was charged 16.29 each for 3 adults and my teanage son, 13.99 for my neice and 8.99 each for my twin daughters I was also charged 2.99 four times for drinks however we couldn't eat as they put away the food so my children went to get desserts and the desserts had been put away as well we were not able to get drinks with the exception of my son since they turned off the beverage machine and of course my son couldn't get any refills, my husband asked the young gentleman why he had let us in if they were putting food away he said because he had to since they did not close until 9pm and that it was some mashed potatoes out one of my daughters got some mashed potatoes but couldn't eat it because the silverware was dirty they gave us plastic we saw the workers packing up food in containers to go for themselves yet they had no food for us I told my children to get desserts instead but those were put away as well and the ice cream machine was shut off as well I asked for water and one of the females said yes but never came back with any water we all left shortly after arriving still hungry and I paid $116.73 but was not able to eat. I called the next day in the morning and spoke to a female named Maria after putting me on hold a few times she told me I will get a full refund but needed to come in, I explained to herthat I was getting on a cruise ship but will be able to come in the following Friday. Today which is the following Friday I called to let them know I will arrive in 3hrs for ny refund I spoke to Justin whom was rude he said that they were only able to refund me for 2 adults I told him I was promised a full refund that I would not have agreed to that as we all were not able to eat he responded that's what's in the notes I said it was incorrect and asked to speak to a manager he said he was a manager and that's all he can do and that's what she told me, which she most definitely did not I said to him I was promised a full refund and that is what was told to me. He was very short with me and I asked for his supervisors number and I received a number that just rings you can leave a message but no one answers. This is the absolute worst restaurant experience my family and I have ever received, we've been places were the food was not good, but to pay and get no food or drinks is absurd and then get offered a small fraction of the bill is ridiculous I'm not sure why this location...

Just Wow . I'm a very big fan of Golden Corral. I stop here regularly on my trip to and from Florida. The only saving grace is the man who took my plates . Who was very respectful, And on top of things . The restaurant itself is filthy. Food slopped all over the place . With the exception of the dessert bar that was clean and well maintained. The man cooking steaks is horrible. You tell Jim what you want and he just throws whatever on your plate . I probably don't speak his language. The chicken I decided after 2 rds of fatty cold steak was enough I had to throw away . Under cooked, the salad bar had a mixture of multiple pieces of other food in them. This person needs to go . I walked away from that mess . No cheddar sauce. And the creamed spinach I guess they spilled the salt in and that got thrown away . The men's bathroom is also not maintained and dirty . Employee,s standing around talking with each other. When it's plan to see work needs done . Plus this was around 5 pm and the place was practically empty. No excuse for this . Also I'm handicapped and have no left fingers on my hand and they got rid of the trays . I'm trying to pay and juggle a soda with no place to set it down. I will be notifying corporate over the handy cap issue. I honestly can't believe I'm ripping this place up . So almost 40 bucks for a soda , Some cookies and a piece of pie . It is looks great on the plate. But it wasn't . This is a follow up . That night both me and my wife got sick . Don't eat the chicken. And there was drug dealing in the parking lot . Right next to my car out front. I have never had a bad experience at any Golden Corral anywhere. I will be sending a complaint to corporate....

Went to dine in tonight, my son, his dad, along with myself had a salad with cucumber slices in it. My son tasted the cucumber and immediately said it don’t taste good and threw up in his plate immediately.. I proceeded to eat mine just assuming he over ate and the taste from the cucumbers was absolutely unbearable! It tasted like someone has poured straight chemicals on the cucumbers!!! His dad then ate it just to make sure I wasn’t tripping and he agreed! We lost our appetite instantly. I told a sever who agreed and tasted the cucumber and said she tasted the same thing! She went told the manager on duty he did nothing. Waited 30 minutes to see if the kids would eat desert but my oldest son was sick to his stomach and the manager left the cucumbers on the salad bar. Myself threw up the moment I got in the car and ended up having to pull over to throw up again . It’s been two hours and we can not get the taste gone. My son is still sick to his stomach two hours later.. we have been coming very often 2-3 times a week but for this to physically make my child sick we will not be back for a while.. the manager on duty didn’t come talk to us nor remove the item off the bar when 4 people had vouched for the awful...
