Golden City Buffet — Restaurant in Lumberton

Was forced to give this 1 star if I could give 0 I would. I never leave reviews. The food was very nasty. I am a black woman I was watched the whole entire time as if I would steal something. I was also given my ticket way before I was done dining in. I knew it was going to be terrible by the way it looks on the outside. Omg. It looks scary in the parking lot. Very trashy. I want to take a picture of how the bar looks but they were staring at me the entire time. I will never go back by this building if I don’t have to. I have been eating here since 1987 when Juan & Hannah were the ones who built and originally owned this place. My mom worked her for about 4 yrs. It has changed hands a few times and although the menu is and has always been the same, I personally feel that the food prep isn't quite the same. My family (7) and I used to eat here every Sunday after church and sometimes on Friday evenings for Dinner or Saturdays for Lunch, but now we average maybe twice a month. Just feel like they could offer some additional vegetables like zucchini, squash & corn plus green beans & brocolli could be cooked a bit softer and maybe they could add a few additional items with steak or beef instead of mostly...

I give a place a few chances before I tell it like it is five times I have taken my father to eat here and all five times I had to stand in line and wait for shrimp and never get any because they only bring out enough for about 3 people and when you have 50 people there eating you should bring out a hole pan full and when I got to the check out I asked the lady at the counter do they ever put enough shrimp out she said they shrimp on buffet I asked her were and she went to the empty pan and then didn't say anything else I asked her to take off the shrimp from our $30 bill she said have a good day as she was giving me my change bad service and the food ain't...
