Had a wonderful experience selecting our new England brand sectional. Paid in full when ordered. 3 weeks later on a Friday afternoon we're told it's be delivered to the store and is ready for pickup. Saturday morning we toss the old couch and head to Lancaster. Asked the wife to call and let them know we were on the way to pick it up. She's told we can't pick it up until after 1pm after we're already on the way to pick it up. 1:05 phone rings says um sorry your couch is damaged we'll repair it and get it to you next week. Make an in person visit to see the damage that is severe. We're told they can have it fix locally and it will be as good as new. I ask for a full refund after hassling with the owner for a bit. "Not an option he said" I tell him then we'll take a new one. Zero customer service skills, never shook my hand. I called Lancaster Galleries (on Christmas Eve no less) from Alabama and Jon was incredibly helpful to me right over the telephone. I was able to get on the website while on the phone with him to discuss what was in inventory and what I was looking for. He was able to deliver the sofa and love seat I wanted, in the time frame that worked best for my daughter. I did all of this from Alabama without having to come to Lynchburg. He was wonderful to deal with and so reassuring. Due to snow, the delivery had to be pushed back 1 day and he communicated proactively with my daughter to deliver both pieces to fit her schedule. In that time, I have had the opportunity to interact with their customer service department on numerous occasions and have only had very favorable experiences with them. I have also had the opportunity to witness comments and the great satisfaction of many of their long-term and repeat customers.
