I want to start by saying that our first experience here was wonderful â Ashley and Corey helped my now-husband pick out my engagement ring and were fantastic. Unfortunately, our experience with our wedding bands was completely different.
This time we worked with Matthew. When we picked up our rings about two weeks before the wedding, my husbandâs band didnât fit quite right. Instead of being understanding, Matthew was cold and made a side comment that came across as rude. I tried to brush it off at first, but after everything that followed, I donât feel the same.
Matthew said the ring could be resized and ready the week before the wedding, but I didnât hear from him for a week â until I received a text asking me to call. When I did, he seemed panicked and unsure of how to communicate what had happened with the ring.
During that call, Matthew explained that suddenly they couldnât resize the ring in-house because of the engraving. He said they wanted to mail the ring out to the designer in Canada that same morning to have it resized, but warned it might not make it back in time for the wedding. I told him very clearly that if there was any chance it wouldnât be ready, to not send it out and that Iâd just use a temporary sizer instead. He seemed to understand.
However, when I called the following Tuesday â just days before the wedding â to check on the ring, I was told it was in Canada. When I asked why it had been mailed out despite my request, three different people gave me three different answers, and no one seemed to know exactly what had happened.
By the third phone call, Ashley Davis stepped in to handle things. Since the real ring wouldnât be back in time for our wedding â now just days away â the designer sent a dummy ring for photos. My parents, who live closer than we do since Iâm in graduate school, went to pick it up. When they arrived, Matthew acted aloof and acted like he wasnât directly involved with the situation. When my dad pointed out that Matthew was the person who had been handling the order, Matthew became rude to him.
After that, I was never able to reach Matthew again â every time I called, I was told he wasnât in. Eventually, Davis Jewelers stopped updating me on the ringâs status and began calling my husband instead, even though I had been the one managing the situation from the start.
Even after all of this, I needed my wedding band resized. When I mentioned that my engagement ring would also need resizing, the staff member handling it made an offhand comment about âlimiting the number of times rings can be resized.â When my mom and I gave her a questioning look, she immediately backpedaled.
Iâm extremely disappointed. Three years ago, my husband left a glowing review after a wonderful experience here. This time, however, the process was marked by cold behavior from employees, poor communication, and mismanagement of our rings right before our wedding. Itâs disheartening that what should have been an exciting and joyful experience turned into so much...
Read moreBuying an engagement ring is stressful. I did a lot of shopping around before I settled on Davis. I looked at online options and multiple retailers. As a 22-year-old finishing college, I haven't had much experience with big purchases. When I decided to propose to my girlfriend of two years, I didn't know where to go to buy a ring. I am so thankful I picked Davis Jewelers, and here's why.
I started at Shane Co., and they seemed to have good reviews. People in there seemed happy and I was impressed with their selection at first. However, after speaking with a salesperson, I quickly discovered how transactional and impersonal the experience was for them.
I then went to Genesis Diamonds. It looked beautiful inside, they had more to choose from, and the sales staff was clearly more experienced. The experience they had, however, was clearly in the art of persuasion and towards rushing customers to a purchase. My salesperson dogged Shane Co. the second I mentioned them and said that they were not right for me. She showed me a ring I liked, and when I said I would think about it and come back, she pushed me to tell her why I wouldn't buy it now and that it might be gone tomorrow. I left confused on if I was doing the right thing and if this was how the engagement business was.
Then, I came to Davis Jewelers. I walked in and the atmosphere was so light and friendly. I was immediately greeted, allowed to browse, and soon was met by the best salesperson I have ever met. Her name is Ashley Davis Sigman. I did not know that the vice president and daughter of the CEO would help me pick a ring when I came in! Not only this, but I saw her father walking around the store helping people! I love when leadership is so hands on in a place like this.
Talking with Ashley was like talking to someone you've known for a long time. She has no tricks and no gimmicks. With her, it's just quality service with a smile. She made sure I was happy every step of the way. There was never any rush or pressure to buy, and that was so refreshing. I was looking for a vintage-style setting, and she helped me find the PERFECT one. Then, we sat down and picked out a diamond. I worked with Ashley and also a man named Corey to pick out the perfect diamond that matched all the criteria I wanted. We must've spent over an hour looking at different diamonds, which they were happy to do. Not only did they help me, they educated me. No other place did that.
When the time came to propose, my now-fiance could not have been happier with the ring. This may be a long review, but I have to say I have never made a review before so I'm not sure if this is too long or not. All I know is I feel the need to praise Davis Jewelers for guiding me through this frightening process and making me feel comfortable, confident, and even excited. Thank you Ashley, Corey, and anyone else who helped at...

Like most, when it came to THE proposal (as seen below) was one thing but it's an entirely different beast when it comes to a ring. I had ZERO IDEA on where to start. I lost night after night of sleep trying to find everything from the band, metal, size, shape, etc. there is to think of when searching online.
Who would've thought after 5 minutes of walking into Davis Jewelers and asking their team those very questions that i'd sleep like a baby ever since! Don't waste your time like I did!
Ultimately, after walking into the store that day... that's when Corey Allgeier came into the picture.
Not only did he make the entire experience enjoyable - he helped create my fiancé's dream engagement ring the EXACT ring she's wanted/dreamed of ever since she was a little girl.
From the very first minutes working with Corey A., he drew out his notepad and intentionally wrote down every single little detail - even the ones that seemed completely unnecessary, he assured us that he'd take every note to account. Which he was a man of his word.
If you are looking for that right size, color, metal, design, etc. I am confident there is not a single stone that Davis Jewelers doesn't turn over. The relationships they've made through the decades of experience, passion, and drive is unmatched. They get access to some of the most pristine cut diamonds/metals in the country if not the world.
Corey A. was able to walk through so many options with us - even when our budget was extremely tight. We were able to navigate different cuts, clarity, and even type of diamond we wanted.
Not only did Corey knock it out of the ballpark - the whole team to even the owners embraced our choices and even found the PERFECT stone that ultimately became the one we chose. Trust me, even after we got down to 3 stones - all of them looked like winners.
There was one-kicker. My Fiancé really wanted a three-prong style to hold the diamond (which was a pear/teardrop style). Normally, a 4 prong or more is used but the team took on the challenge and found the safest/secure way to make our dream ring not only one-of-a-kind but tailored to every little detail that we envisioned. It sits perfectly cradled and isn't going anywhere!
I wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't for the hard work and dedication that Corey A. and the team over at Davis Jewelers did for us. As you see with the pictures attached, the ring is stunning and we get compliments everywhere we go.
When people ask where we get a ring like that?
Answer is a no-brainer. Davis Jewelers.
I owe Corey A. and their team everything. You all have a customer and fan for...
