20230912 So glad I finally made it! Wow! This store has so many different tea. I looked around online first before stopping in and had my shopping list ready. I looked around first, and there is much stuffed neatly packed into this store. Kind of reminds me of a Hallmark gift shop but for tea. The owner I met today is 1 of the 4 owners. She got me samples of the 5 tea I was interested in to see and smell, and she provided a card with info on ingredients for each tea. What's interesting is that she quickly collected each card as she brought another sample out. I picked 3 to try and will order if I end up liking them. I also bought 2 that were on sale, sounded yummy and fruity. You can also order tea to drink thereor to go. They have a nice counter set up for that. The owner was helpful, informative, and professional. There was 2 ladies there looking to buy tea but they were there when I got there and after I left. For some reasons, I felt rushed. I would have prefer a little friendlier and welcoming service. I prefer my shopping experience more fun, rather than just a business transaction... order, pay and leave. It's all about the experience. I still tipped her 15% for my purchase, even though she didn't spend much time with me. She quickly returned to those 2 customers and 1 just walked in as I was leaving. Will update this review once I have a chance to try the tea when I got home. Hope the tea is good. 202207 One of the things that annoys me most is... when I'm on vacation, finally made it to a business, and they are closed!! 🙄 I'm heading home tomorrow and unlikely to make it back. Oh well... maybe I will take my chances and order online...

Seldom do you walk into an establishment that smells so good.
We happened into The Louisville Tea Company rather by accident. I’ve been looking for a good variety of loose leaf teas for a while and hadn’t met with the best of luck. While driving down LaGrange road I did a double-take as I saw the sign on the back of the building, turned around in the next driveway, and made my way there.
There’s something about the smell of tea that is, at once, exciting and relaxing. The walls are lined with canisters of loose tea and photographs taken by local photographers. The staff is VERY knowledgeable about their product and about tea, in general. You can smell just about any of the teas, and based on what you’re looking for or what you like, they’ll recommend something for your. You can get samples and cups of tea, brewed fresh, for a small fee.
I was looking for a tea for cold-brewing. One of my concerns about cold-brewing tea is that it can cloud. The nice lady behind the counter recommended Nilgiri for cold brewing and because it doesn’t cloud. A hot sample of the Nilgiri later and I was out the door with some.
The store it tiny, but well laid-out and more un-cluttered than you’d anticipate.
I can’t say enough about the Louisville Tea Company. If you’re looking for a huge selection of loose leaf teas, this may be a little out-of-the-way but well worth the adventure...
Read moreAHHH its so good. I dragged my sister with me and she said even tho she doesn't drink tea she knows good service when she sees it. I got a cup of Kentucky breakfast brewed for me there. Perfectly brewed and it tastes like grand crackers. ;-P
I got a 3 tea sampler. Their selection is insane. They have both plain teas for simple tea afficionados and flavored teas for the fancy guys ... so anyways I couldn't decide so I got the 3 tea sampler which is a great deal. My favorite is the sweet potato black tea. The chocolate pu erh is so good with a tiny bit of condensed milk. Anyways I will be coming back and leaving tips.
On top of that. They gave me a free sample of lychee flower green tea which is probably the best free sample of anything I've ever gotten in my life. Its a really good size and the tea just tastes so good.
Thanks
