Where to even begin with this absolutely wonderful establishment? I first discovered this family owned business when I realized I needed my wedding rings and a keepsake ring resized. Wes did a wonderful job and very quick and extremely reasonably priced. That was almost two years ago. About a month ago, close to my third anniversary, my husband and I recognized that we were in a very different place financially than we were when we got married. My original bridal ring set had a moissanite center stone. I was still hesitant about getting an actual diamond due to the controversies around them and also, even though we could afford it, I still didn’t want to dish out thousands for one. I realized if anyone could help me, it would be the folks at Jewelry Repair professionals. The owner, Allen, runs this store with his son, Wes, and his daughter-in-law, Erica. I interacted with all of them for the purchase of a brand new, lab grown Diamond for my ring. They somehow got me an even bigger stone than my moissanite for an out of this world price. Allen was able to set it in my ring the same day the stone arrived; he even changed the setting on my ring to a six prong head to make sure the new stone stayed nice and snug. Second, they ordered me a beautiful pendant in which he set my original moissanite stone, so I could always keep the best part of my original rings. Finally, Wes cleaned and replated my rings. All this happened within three weeks, and this included all the shipping. I encourage and urge everyone to go to this place and only this place for your jewelry needs. This family knows how to run a business. They will never force you into something you don’t want or don’t need, will do their best to provide you with plenty of options for your price range, and will treat you like their best customer every time. I will never go anywhere else for my jewelry and will recommend only this business to all my acquaintances. I had a diamond ring that was passed down to me from my family that I wanted to get placed in a new setting and also have appraised. With so many jewelry stores in Louisville and a barrage of radio ads for so many of them I decided I wanted a smaller more personal experience. After searching online and reading all the reviews from various locations I decided on Jewelry Repair Professionals. As soon as I walked into their small store I immediately was welcomed and the owner Allen who is a master Jeweler spent almost 20 minutes with me looking at the diamond, explaining my options, giving a bit of the history of the diamond, and answering all my questions I had without any pushiness or up-selling. He put me at ease and I felt a genuineness and sincerity that is rare these days. Their pricing was very fair and the turn around time was faster than originally estimated. The engagement ring in the new setting all cleaned up looks spectacular and my fiance is still blown away. Do not be fooled by their small appearance or lack of big fancy store and radio ads they are the real deal and treat their customers amazingly well. I will be going back for the wedding bands and all my jewelry needs in the future, and I implore anyone looking for a quality jeweler that you can trust to go here. The places that spend a ton of money on advertising have nothing on this place. I can't speak highly enough of Allen and his family; they are freindly and beyond competent. I never thought that I would have a "go to" jeweler, but after my first experience with them I can say that this is my family's go to jeweler. In short they are trustworthy, straightforward, and will not compromise on craftsmanship or quality. To elaborate, this was a place I ventured out to, to investigate after casting the engagement ring that I would present to the woman who is now my wife. Allen assessed the stones, the ring and told me offhand that the stones would not fit, that they were off, and different stones would be needed. He examined it with a loupe to be sure, measured it in front of me, and that's when I realized that MY original measurements had been off, by .02 mm. But he caught it, by eye, almost immediately. Allen found a supplier to replace the stones AND set them at a TOTAL lower price than other jewelers had quoted me, without seeing the ring or the complications involved. Working with her hands everyday, my wife has knocked a stone loose once or twice and Allen has tightened them right back up! I like to think he did it for free because he likes us, but I think it just goes back to that old school ethic of guaranteeing your work.
