I've been debating on sharing my review my dad stayed here for about 3 years and I got a call that he was having seizures I already had some other problems he had fractured his knee fractured his ankle his knee into places waiting on the nurses to get there when my dad was sent out for having seizures I went out to remove him from the home couple days later and get his belongings CNA came up to me and asked me about my dad and how he was doing she let me know that she had been reporting to the head nurse that my dad was not himself and he may be having seizures they refused to send him out this place is filthy it's nasty and it's sad as I was removing my dad's belongings he had black mold in the side of his nightstand he had a piece of birthday cheesecake I had gave him in a container from a year ago this place is so sad and disgusting and he needs to be shut down I had many many problems with them but those to me are the major ones oh and here's the big kicker not to mention my dad is a veteran this is not how we treat our veterans this is not how we treat people who have served our country my dad is now in a better place not close to home and I would love for that for him to be up the street but I'd rather him have the best healthcare he can get and if I have to travel far I will as long as I know he's getting the care that he needs that's what...

I found out tonight that a tall, skinny black nurse with an Afro told my 83 yr old father that is currently in Madera Rehabilitation and Nursing that my brother "no longer wants to care for him and wants nothing to do with him ". To say that I'm upset would be putting it extremely mildly! This poor excuse for a human being needs to be fired immediately and if not we are going to have serious issues! How damn heartless do you have to be to say such heartbreaking things to an older man who's already in a scary situation and is in constant pain, this awful person has no business being in nursing period!!! I'm extremely pissed!!! There is a witness as well as 2 other nurses who verified "they know who said it " upon being confronted. My 89 year old Dad fell & ultimately had to have hip surgery & was sent here for physical therapy. The entire staff were really good! The nurses & therapist were very gentle & patient with my dad & the wait time from the time my dad would push the nurse button to the time they would come in was always come pretty fast to see what he needed. The therapist would come in to get him for therapy if he was sleeping they would come back later when he was awake, but always got his therapy in! They kept the place clean. As much as I hated having my dad there because he lives with me & every day with him is a gift, but if I had to put my dad in a Home short term or long term & would definitely feel comfortable placing him here for...
