Cheles Tacos Grill — Restaurant in Madera

We went this afternoon based off the reviews. First I wanted burrito the young lady said I can't because I dont know how to roll them. I'll take asada fries with everything. 2 asada tacos. Asked for a fountain soda and she asks what size? Small please process the order .65 charge+ 15% tip. repeats my order 2 asada tacos,asada fries w/everything and medium soda. I said no small she replies we only have 2 sizes. Ok medium then. Orange crush we will take, well it's syrupy you want something else? We'll take Pepsi the cup had orange crush still in I asked if she could rise the cup well i got attitude. I remained calm and polite. Little annoyed but I'll take it in consideration that it was only her taking orders, the fact that she had to tell costumers no and fountain machine needed service. Fyi: too many flies I had to take home, the food was okay. I'll try again...

Maybe it’s just me but these tacos are way too greasy. I think the nopales, onion, and meat have way too much seasoning and oil. Our tacos were swimming in oil. Yes, the tortillas are handmade but they taste reheated not freshly made which is a huge difference. If you’re just coming here for handmade tortillas then you obviously haven’t eaten at many Mexican places in Madera lol. It’s a long wait too. 30 min. DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommend the quesobirras tacos. I was hesitant on ordering because they were $4 each, but they were SO worth it! Cheles is never skimpy on their meat. My tacos were loaded with juicy meat and cheese. I drive down all the way from Merced sometimes just to have their food. Customer service is always excellent as well.
