I happened to find Diamond Jim’s while looking for jewelry stores on Yelp. I had not heard of or seen them before, but I wanted to check them out because they had a good rating. When I go to a jewelry store, one of two things seems to happen: either I am completely ignored and treated very rudely, or I am given over-the-top, yet condescending attention. So I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit being treated ‘normal’, so I decided to come back.
We were here looking for an engagement ring and everyone I worked with was very helpful and pleasant. I was not finding anything I felt to be ‘the ring’ so it was suggested that I have one custom made, which was the perfect solution. However, I soon realized I was not really sure what I wanted. I primarily worked with Quinn and Brittany who had me provide pictures of rings I liked, detailing what it was about the ring I liked. From there, they provided me with CAD images of rings which we then were able to build upon until they helped me discover exactly what I wanted for my ring. I find it interesting that while working with them, I was able to narrow down and figure out exactly what I wanted even though I initially had no idea.
With regards to choosing a diamond, they were amazing with that as well. We initially came in for a brief overview of the 4 C’s of diamonds (actually inspecting with a loop different colors and clarity) to help us decide what we might want. We then provided our price range and specifications and received GIA certifications via email to review. From there, we selected the ones we wanted to look at and they had them shipped to the store for us to view and make a selection. All in all the process took about six months, but that was mainly because I was not sure what I wanted and kept requesting changes. If you know what you want, this whole process could probably get done in a month. I could not have been happier with my experience and final outcome.
The store also has a nice selection of vintage pieces that seems to change frequently which I love checking out. If you are looking for something for that special someone, want something very specific, and want friendly service, definitely check out...
Read moreJust got married; so my new husband and I went to get his ring resized and mine set I wanted them to connect the two pieces. My husband's band: he needed to resize and he wasn't sure, they didn't really resize him properly and my husband said they rushed him when he was dropping his ring off. Diamond Jim also removed the stamp from the band. No they did not take the ring down to where this should have happened it was only going down half a size from where it previously was. The ring after being resized to an 8 for my husband .... came in at a 7. 75 and was to tight for my husband's finger. There was also a burn or a scold mark left behind on my husband's band, on the metal. Now to my set. They did not bother matching or lining up my set. The engagement ring should nestle into my wedding band. It's a artdeco design and my band has little leaves with diamond chips inside the leaf. The engagement ring also has little leaves that are solid gold that also holds the center stone. My wedding band was flipped up side down and made to fit incorrectly with each other. I had two sets of these leaves where the solid gold leaves were sitting on top of the leaves that had the little diamond chips in them. Also the product they used to connect these two pcs ... omg.... it looked horrible. Like they just.... it was just really messy looking? This was a job that someone blew through. Sure it may have been a easy job but these are my wedding rings. These have meaning to at least me and my spouse. I know for whom ever at diamond Jim's that did this job... please take pride in your work. Pay attention to the details. It may have been some quick job to you but for us these rings are for the rest of our lives. Not cool diamond Jim. Not cool. We ended up being too nervous to bring them back to be fixed so we went to Clawson jewelry and they hooked us up. This is how I know my husband's ring came in at a 7 75 and...

My father passed away in June of 23 and gave me a couple of rings and my stupidity came out in me when I felt bad for my brother after losing his ring and not lopwanting him too not have something and gave him a beautiful sapphire diamond ring. But knowing my brother I had a sick feeling come over me and called here to see if he pawned or sold this ring to which he sold it...after talking with these honest people who told me they had my ring and sold me back that ring at cost when they could of charged me what they were gonna sell it for... also letting me make weekly payments... they were patient, generous, kind and understanding ... I cannot Thank them enough and want to let you folks know that for any and all jewelry to go nowhere else but Diamond Jim's and enjoy your family type experience here....Love...
