Food was great, when we were able to order. The sad part is as soon as I walked in they looked back to the staff after seeing me and knew that this review would happen. Had to update the review to 1 star after I went back after they said they fired the offender to find the only man who had been following proper protection was no longer there and their new staff was wearing his mask completely on his chin without shame standing over an order next to the prior offender. I wanted to support you guys but you say one thing when asked and proceed to not follow through. Originally, I gave two out of five stars because the grill food prep staff do not wear their masks while preparing your food. Two out of the five times I have went they have actually been wearing masks and doing so properly, albeit I had to ask one of those two times for one of the men to put his mask back on after entering the kitchen from outside. Food is great but should sacrifice food safety standards especially when they have been updated for a pandemic. I will update this post after my next visit attempts and will take photos to post next time. I am more than willing to update this to five stars if they can begin using proper safety procedures and only remove their masks when outside of the food preparation area to abide by food safety standards. I was in town due to business, and decided to stop here for something besides McDonald’s. Gave it a chance because of the raving reviews and I am so … glad I did.

Walked in and the lady at the register was beyond courteous and patient with my mother and I. She made recommendations for what to order off the menu and we decided on some coney dogs and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. As we were about to leave while making small talk with the lady, she saw me eyeing the homemade cakes they had up front. I asked her if the chocolate or caramel cake was better and she smiled, and proceeded to give us a slice of each on the house, for free?!

She told us to have a safe drive back home. Not even kidding, some of the best coney dogs I’ve ever had and hands down the most surprising cake I’ve had in years. The caramel cake is incredibly moist, thick and fluffy and so .. so delicious.

I got the Philly because reviews said it was good but it's not the same. I didn't want to ding the stars, so 5 stars, but the problem with all the philly cheesesteaks in the area is that none of them have the correct hoagie roll. They use this flimsy roll that has the softness equivalent of a hotdog or burger roll when a Philly Cheesesteak has a much rougher roll. This is critical because an authentic Philly Cheesesteak is incredibly juicy in a way that these dupes never can be because of their weak rolls. With a Philly Cheesesteak, the thick hoagie roll soaks up all of the juice and flavor from the meat and mixes with the melted cheese and ooey gooey ketchup and mayonnaise in a way that turns it into a transcendental experience. Sadly, with sandwiches like these, all the deliciousness just leaks out into a puddle at the bottom of the styrofoam due to the weak bun.
