Salesperson would not stop pushing a sale I didn’t want. I came in looking for something specific. They didn’t have exactly what I was looking for but they had a mount that was close. It was close enough that I considered buying until we started talking price. I have quotes for nearly the same mount (same diamond, same color, same karat, etc.) for far cheaper. I have also found natural diamonds for the mount cheaper. I do not live in the area, but so happened to hear an add on the radio on a business trip. Nothing they pitched on the ad seemed true. Service was awful. The salesperson kept talking about what my girlfriend (soon to be fiancé) wants when he don’t know her. My girlfriend is an immigrant, and we visit her home country often so we aren’t looking for huge diamonds or anything flashy because it’s risky wearing that in CDMX. The salesperson kept pushing how I had to buy bigger diamonds and the mount. The mount is what I wanted. Eventually, he stopped pushing diamonds and started pushing other stones. I stayed in there way longer than I should considering the only thing that they had that I wanted was the mount, and it was way over priced. I wished I would have never came here. I had such a pleasant experience at Juniker Jewelry recently. I needed appraisals on jewelry for insurance purposes & for help with estate planning to assign jewelry of value to my grandchildren some day. Additionally, after my husband passed away, I longed to repurpose our wedding bands in a special & meaningful way but had no idea where to start. All I knew was that it had to be very special to cherish my memories of him. Jackie Peets greeted & assisted me when I arrived. After itemizing items to be appraised, she called on Ted Allgood, Certified Gemologist Appraiser, to discuss my objectives for the appraisals. I had met Ted several years ago, so I was delighted he was at Juniker’s & would be the appraiser. While Ted further prepared items to be left, Jackie made suggestions for repurposing the diamonds in the wedding bands to create new jewelry. It was an emotional moment, and Jackie seemed to know exactly what would make my heart happy. She made it so easy for me. Both Jackie and Ted have been exceptional. My fiancé and I came in today and worked with Joe to find wedding bands. Not only was Joe extremely helpful and down to earth about the process, but he explained all of the options and helped narrow down the choices easily. I know that walking into a jewelry store at any time of the year can be daunting but at no time did we feel pressured in any way to leave having purchased something or upsold to something we didn’t want. While picking out my ring was an easier choice than that of my fiancé (he really likes to think on things before deciding), we did end up returning an hour later to purchase both rings. Joe even had my engagement ring resized the same day for me since we are from another state and were in town visiting family and would be leaving the next day.
