This was my first time eating at this Resturant. It was opened to serving people inside, following the guidelines established for safety to prevent the spread of Covid-19. It was great for social distancing and enjoying a meal. A friend and I sat in a step up side booth, where the visibility to the area outside was very good. The eating area also had tables and chairs, which some were left open for the correct social distancing . It was a Wednesday, and they had blue plate specials. There was a choice if meatloaf or chicken pot pie, in addition to 3 sides. It was a tremendous amount of food, which was a a bit pricey for lunch. But, you drink and refills were included. With a tip ,it was $31. Maybe, I'm cheap and I did leave a $4 tip, Anyway, the food was very good and generous portions. They had large slices of cake , several varieties and abundance of all. It was about another $4 or so. So, I passed on it. The employees were polite and friendly in their service. If you are wanting a very nice home style Meal, this is your place in Madison.

I went to Primo’s Cafe in Madison, MS yesterday and ordered the Fried Chicken blue plate with 2 sides including green beans and mac n’ cheese. When I tell y’all the chicken was the best I’ve had in awhile, I truly mean it. They also serve a turkey and dressing blue plate on Thursdays as well. They are open Monday through Saturday serving 2 blue plate options each day along with serving breakfast all day as well. Also, if you have room for dessert, don’t forget to check out their takeaway area where they have cookies, brownies and different slices of cake as well. I love this restaurant because it has been a staple of Jackson way before my time when the original restaurants were off State Street and Capitol Street. I would recommend this restaurant to all of my friends, family, and anyone traveling or passing through Madison. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

Great looking store. Building and grounds look excellent. The inside was nice. You pay at the counter when you order your food. There was food under a lot of tables and several staff standing around chatting. The service level was the same as a McDonalds, except they asked for a tip. Handed us cups to fill our own drinks. Took a long time to make the food. I ordered sausage and an omelet. The sausage patty was overcooked. The omelet was eggs w maybe a little cheese folded over. A few slices of mushroom and some greens tucked in one side. My hash browns were cooked perfectly. My wife's were burned. Her bacon was cold, and half of it was hard and dry My food didn't taste good, except for my hashbrowns. Toast was served with nothing to put on it except for butter. No one checked on us while we ate. I became sorry I tipped the staff. They need a new cook imo. Now, at a hotel nearby and my wife believes she has diarrhea from eating there. Was our first and last time at this store. I like to give high reviews when I can. This 2 star review reflects our real experience at this disappointing evening.

Atmosphere is nice: old diner yet clean. The salmon tasted decent. Cons: burger taste was mediocre. With just three of us ordering, there were several mistakes with our order. The kids meal cookie was forgotten. We asked for ranch and it was forgotten. Ordered a burger with just meat and cheese, but it was dressed including mayo and mustard spread on the bread. They brought the wrong side with one of the meals. Granted they fixed that last one. The portion sizes were small for the price. even with ordering an extra side I wasn’t even close to full.

Great experience. Walked in and you have to order at the front desk then you go and sit in a booth/table. They bring your order to you. The menu serves breakfast ALL DAY!! They have weekly specials as well. Prices were very reasonable. My omelet, bacon, hash browns, and biscuit was only 12$. They have an entire section of just desserts! It was very clean and even with a lot of people it wasn’t loud. It was a great experience and kids would love this place.

The food is good, but for some reason there is never more than one register open. If they open two they always pull the person. I used to be able to come in and order within five minutes. Now, even on off time, I wait ten plus minutes in line. I’m patient, I just figure maybe primos leadership needs to know about the issue. Note: in the attached photo the line is back to the door. Google mentions it is not too busy. Wrong.
