Stopped here since we had a delay in Madison and I wanted some quiche and crepes. One of the reviews raved and I came. The crepe was phenomenal and very good. Fresh berries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. And candy nuts. The quiche was good but a small piece for the price and very little ingredients floating in there so was disappointed. The salad that came with was standard and very good but if I had gotten that by itself I would if been very sad. My Freind got the chili and that was very good, very meaty, and the flavor was savory! The rueben was also good, but the thousands island had a pickly house made sauce with it that was unique but you could smell and tell it fought with the pickles. Overall the atmosphere is really quaint and enjoyable. I’d recommend it being a place coming once in a while Vs every morning though :) unless you get the bakery which looks like it could be a daily thing with coffee.

La Brioche is just as busy as Marigold Kitchen, despite not close to the square and having much more ample seating. The quality of the food is consistent. Everything from the pastries and the coffee to the breakfast tacos and made-to-order egg scrambles are top notch every time. Very reasonably priced, which is why this place is so busy. You have to get used to the service not being great. Long waits to get orders taken, few check-ups, takes forever to get your check, etc. La Brioche is a solid brunch for a lazy Sunday and the food will not disappoint. However, if you are in a rush or nit-picky about expedient service, this likely isn’t the place for you. And this place is never quiet. You can have a pleasant conversation but quiet is never a good adjective to describe the atmosphere.

With its seasonal global dishes and delectable pastries, this establishment captures the essence of international flavors while providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. La Brioche is a great destination for a solid dining experience.

Atmosphere: La Brioche's European-style setting creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere that transports you to a bistro in the heart of Europe. The comfortable seating and warm decor add to the overall charm of the space. There is also nice outdoor seating, during pleasant weather, though sometimes traffic can be a distraction.

Menu, Food, and Beverages: La Brioche's menu showcases a range of seasonal dishes that cater to diverse palates. From savory to sweet, each dish is thoughtfully prepared with attention to flavors and presentation. The fare is mostly sandwiches and salads, with some egg dishes – be sure this is what you are in the mood for before deciding to come. The selection of pastries, in particular, is a highlight, with a mouthwatering array of freshly baked treats to choose from.

Price: La Brioche's pricing is fair, considering the quality of ingredients and the work that goes into each dish. While it may be slightly higher than average, the portion sizes and the overall dining experience justify the cost.

After years of patronage we will no longer visit True Food. I ordered a specialty cake for my daughter’s birthday, included a photo of the cake she wanted and ordered more than 3 weeks before her party. The bakery simply didn’t bake the cake. They then wrote her name, in runny frosting, on top of a cake from their cooler. A friend picked up the cake for us as we live an hour away, with no idea about what the cake was supposed to look like. She requested that they rewrite her name, paid for the cake and left. She paid in cash and wasn’t given a receipt. I was truly angry when I opened the box and my daughter was very disappointed. I phoned the bakery but they were closed. I called again the following day. No one had any information about what had occurred and I waited for a manager to call me back. Juan finally called me back and said that he was very sorry but they don’t keep cash receipts from the previous day and that it would be much easier to refund my money if I had paid with a credit card. I explained that a friend picked it up and he replied that a receipt is always attached to the cake box, which it was not. I spoke to him at least 3 more times trying to get a refund and hoping that he would sound a little less annoyed with me as though I had done something wrong. No luck. I was told that I couldn’t have ordered the size cake that I definitely ordered, that my friend couldn’t have paid what she claimed to have paid and that the baker who was supposed to bake the cake was no longer employed, then later I was told that the person who baked the cake remembered baking it???? They had a ton of excuses and a complete lack of regret. I work as a server, I don’t ask for complimentary items nor do I make a habit of complaining at a restaurant. Mistakes happen and there’s always an opportunity to make your customer happy by caring and addressing what went wrong. True Food has great food. I have always enjoyed eating there. At the end of the day they decided to refund half of our money after 4 phone calls, an full acknowledgment that they didn’t give us our cake and being called a liar about what we paid for the cake because they don’t save receipts from the previous day! The whole situation was completely...

I had my wedding on 02/13/2016 and we contacted La Brioche in June, 2015 to try their cake samples. The lemon poppy-seed sample we tried was very tasty, with rich flavor and moist texture, so we ordered 2.5 sheet cakes and paid for everything in September, 2015. Unfortunately, the sampling was the only positive experience we had with La Brioche.

My wife contacted La Brioche 1 month before the wedding to check in and we were told that everything was ready to go as planned. However, TWO DAYS prior to our wedding, the manager called us to say "we see you paid us for your wedding but we aren't sure what exactly was ordered". Obviously we had many other wedding things going on that close to the wedding date but we took the time to confirm our order with them for the third time since they apparently didn't record it properly.

On the day of our wedding, the cake that was given to us was not the product we had sampled, and consisted of a dry, firm texture (it was almost crunchy). We were embarrassed and thoroughly disappointed that the product we were given was so unappetizing. Almost as disappointing as the cake, was the customer service displayed by La Brioche after we called them about their unsatisfying product. The manager, Arthur, interrupted me during my conversation to say "I can tell where this is going and I don't need to hear any more". I later spoke with the owner, David, who I had to ask for for an apology before he gave one, and who accused me of trying to get freebies from them. He even went so far as to hint that the cake quality could have been influenced by what my wife told them TWO DAYS prior to our wedding, when they didn't keep proper records in the first place. There were 200 people at our event that can attest to the [lack of] cake quality, as well as the venue staff. When I asked David if he could explain why the final product was so much worse than what we had sampled, he said "I didn't try the samples or the final product so I can't answer that".

Overall, our wedding day was wonderful but I was astounded at the lack of product, service, and care displayed by La Brioche. It was quite clear that once we had paid them, they no longer cared about our experience...
