Tonight (1/14/2017) my friend's car was towed in to Autozone to get a new alternator, because we got stranded on the freeway. I had called Autozone and told them we'd be the at 10 (their closing time) at the latest, we showed up at 9:55 and RAN tot heir doors which were locked, they just shrugged their shoulders and said sorry. My friend ran over to O'rielly's and Asked Ray if he could let us get the alternator and not close yet, he seen the vehicle on the back of the tow truck and said he would help. They were supposed to close at 10pm as well but decided to help us out so we wouldn't be stranded! After he sold me the alternator I asked if he would allow me to use he tools to install the part (I could tell he was wanting to go home) he the. Allowed me to use them, at which point Bryan insisted on helping us with the R&R. Both Ray and Bryan went up and beyond what they needed to, just to make sure we could be on our way and not stranded. Because of these two gentlemen I would HIGHLY recommend O'rriely's in Magna to ANYONE! I'll gladly drive from Tooele to Magna for parts if that's their dedication to customer service!
They worked on the car removing and installing our alternator in the cold weather and not once did they complain, they were both very friendly and funny which helped calm my friend down and ease our situation. Because of their selfless acts of kindness we were able to get back on the road and in great spirits!
Thank you to Ray, and...
Read moreA snarky person at the counter. He barely acknowledged me and then rudely commented about me looking for an oil drain plug washer for my 2021 vehicle. Once he verified they had it in stock, he quickly rattled off the part number and told me which aisle to find it. He did go in the back and get the part once he realized it wasn't on the shelf. I could tell he was irritated and didn't want to be bothered. It's not my fault you work in an auto parts store on a Sunday. I'll never shop at this store again. I'll make sure I order anything I need ahead of time. People like this make other people want to avoid coming into specialty stores. You see it in places like music stores, auto parts stores, homebrew shops, skate shops, etc. It's a level of arrogance that is so off-putting...
Read moreBetter off going somewhere or calling somewhere else. Website said to call to order a part, so I called. The person I talked to said no problem we can order it but you have to come down to the store to order to place the order because you will have to pay. He quoted me shipping cost and time frame. So I went to the store in a snow storm. When I got there the person said you would be better off ordering from somewhere else because there is no guarantee that the part will come in even if you pay for it. So why 2 different stories in the matter of minutes. Poor customer service on both ends. Don't quote shipping cost and time frame if you can't...
