Five Below — Local services in Manalapan Township

Store was clean and the employees greet you when you walk in.

So why the 3 stars? Well I brought in my own shopping bag to obviously hold all the items I purchased. When I got to the cash register the employee offered to take my bag so he could scan my items then put it back in. I obviously said sure. Next thing I know he is asking if I am purchasing the reuseable bag. His tone is insinuating that I am trying to walk away with the bag without paying for it. It is clear that they do not sell this bag because it is from the Los Angeles Anime Expo. It is clearly labeled...date and everything. There is not even a five bellow tag on it or a bar code! I told him no I brought the bag in.

I have brought my Traders Joe reuseable bags into the actual Traders Joe store before the NJ bag ban started and not once have I been questioned. Employees at TJs have been trained properly and I suggest Five Below...

I normally don’t write reviews but when I feel disrespected I do. My mom and I were shopping for a couple of things from five below. One of the things my mom purchased didn’t have a tag on it, the cashier (man with glasses and thin brown hair) ordered her to get a new one. His tone was rude and dismissing. Then my mom brought the same product back up and asked if she could take the one she brought up instead he was extremely rude saying now HE has to do more work because she wanted the product with the tag on it. How is that my mom’s problem that you have to do more work? Isn’t that your job? This is not the first time my mother, me or anyone else has been disrespected by the employment there. If you need to go to five below, drive five-ten minutes to the mall. No need to feel disrespected just to go into a five dollar...

Bought 2 Card Shuffling Machines for our grandchildren in CA. Carried them 2,500 miles on the plane with 8 batteries (4-ea), only to find out neither one of them worked at all ... Disappointed our grandchildren ... Trekked them all the way back to NJ ... They kindly refunded our $10 (whoopee), but that didn't chain the frown on our grandchildren's have to a smile... Until next year... Not this time we will be shopping at a different store for or trinkets! Can you...
