I called your store at 7:41pm on Aug 12th asking if I would be wasting my time bringing up a big bag full of Old Navy clothes, most of which still had the tag. The tag showing them priced at $30, $40, and $50 mostly. The store associate explained the policy about not giving out prices. So I just asked her if I'd be wasting my time. I'm not expecting full price but if an item is $50 I want more than $3 for it. She said if its new then she doesn't think I'd be wasting my time. So I came, it was around 8:35pm. And I was ignored until I got an employee off the floor who then got another one before a third one was called on to help me. After 15 minutes I receive the text stating its ready. So I step up beside the cashier. She finishes her line and says nothing to me, just stands there before she calls out that she can take the next customer. I notice then that you sell purses and I had 3 in my car I had forgotten to ask them about while on the phone. I mention this to the cashier and she snaps at me that there is no time. That I'm supposed to be there an hour before they close if I want to sell something.
Now, this is just terrible customer service. However, I understand partly the frustration if this happens constantly. But remember, I called ahead, and at no moment did the person who answered the phone tell me to be there by 8pm if I wanted to sell something. So I understand the frustration, but part of customer service is getting over it, and POLITELY doing your job.
She finishes with a few customers, ignores me, and calls on the next person in the other cashiers lane. When everyone is then gone she mutters at me your clothes are ready. So I told her I know, thats why I'm standing here. Here being on the left side of her register. So she tells me I have to be here, and points to the right side of her register. Then she grabs the bucket, her voice turns robotic as she says her spiel by rote then tells me that for 14 items they would offer me 21 or 22.50, I don't recall which one it was.
As I said, these are upwards of $30 items, still with the waist tag, dangling tag, and size sticker on some of them. 14 items for not even $23.
The person on the phone either lied or doesn't know her job. That, or the person who priced my items as well as the verifying associate stiffed me.
So I'm leaving this review to advise people to be smarter than me and listen to the people who already left poor reviews complaining about rude employees, a lack of basic customer service, and terrible prices. I'm in the top 20% of reviewers, because I leave reviews consistently and have people who rely on my honest opinions. I leave reviews because I've been in customer service since 2010, and nothing is more offensive to me than to see terrible customer service, especially when the customers don't have to shop at this location. There are other options. I will not be returning.
I will be amending my review once I visit a different location and compare the price I was offered. If I was "misled" about the amount my clothes are worth I'll contact whoever the boss is because thise employees need to be fired if that is the case. I didn't accept the price I took my items and left. But if others dont do that than those employees could be stealing from the customer the actual value they deserve for...

I want to share an unsettling experience I had at Platoâs Closet on Manchester Road. While trying on clothes in the unisex dressing room, I noticed something alarming. There was a green shoe on the floor with what looked like a camera lens peeking through a hole. I pushed it out of my dressing room, but soon after, a pair of pants was slid toward me, and I saw another suspicious hole where I could make out a reflectionâthis happened several times. By the third time, I was certain it was a camera.
I immediately reported this to an employee since there wasnât a manager on site. The staff member I spoke to was kind and empathetic, even offering me a discount on my purchase, though I didnât request it. While I appreciated their gesture, this incident was deeply disturbing.
I followed up by sending an email to the headquarters and the emails listed on the website, but it has been over a week, and I have yet to receive any response. This lack of communication adds to my concern.
I feel strongly that my privacy, and potentially the privacy of others, was violated in this dressing room. Itâs concerning that such an incident could occur. While Iâve shopped here for a while and love the affordability, this experience has left me uncomfortable about coming back.
Iâve already contacted the police, as I believe the individual responsible may still visit the store. I urge management to take steps to ensure customersâ safety, such as addressing any gaps or issues in the unisex dressing rooms. A solution like using a handicap dressing room or a more secure option would help provide peace of mind during future visits.
For those who are looking for an easy way to shop in an affordable and comfortable environment with secure dressing rooms, I recommend Upscale Cheapskate down the street. Their dressing rooms are still unisex similar to Platoâs Closet, but with better privacy. There are no gaps under the doors or at the top of the ceilings to avoid any...
Read moreI take my teen kids here often. I personally love this place, even for myself. I have NEVER wrote a review on any web page. I found it imperative I write one this time! I was in there on Sunday (5/21) and I met one of the rudest employees I've ever had to deal with. Now, if he was just rude to me I have no problem brushing it off but, I sat and watched him be down right rude to 3 other ladies while they were waiting for their kids in the dressing room. I hate even saying this but, if he was my kid I would in all honestly have been mortified that they would treat someone like this! After watching him be rude to every customer he came in contact with, and his coworkers. I have to post a review. Not in hopes of him losing his job or bashing him online but, to let the manager know. It is NOT okay to treat people that way. We all have bad days but, you suck it up and move on. I was shaking by the time I left there I was so aggravated at how he treated me not, once but twice and then like I said 3 other women waiting as well. Only to go check out and see his attitude at the counter. Shame on you! Now, I'm not going to say I won't be back because trust me..I'm not letting some rude young man keep me from the great deals. I hope he reads this and realizes we all have bad days but, this clearly doesn't give you the right to mistreat others. Hope your day got...
