Reese's Genes Boutique — Local services in Manchester

I was given a Charles River Apparel rain jacket for Christmas and the size was too large to wear. No issues with the jacket and it had its original tags and everything. I had a gift receipt and went to the store to switch the size within the store’s last day to return the item. Instead of allowing me to make an even swap just because the size was all that needed to be fixed, they required me to pay the difference of when the jacket was purchased by my family member with a Christmas sale, to today’s regular store price. Therefore, I had to PAY for a Christmas present GIVEN to me (after my family member had already paid for it and gave me the gift receipt) just to get the size I needed. This was after the store associate (who was nice, I will say) called her manager/store owner in front of me to ask her what she needed to do in which was to proceed with making me pay for the same rain jacket yet a different size.... Small towns and small businesses need and want us to shop local so they can make a living but this is exactly why it is much easier to go shopping somewhere else with realistic policies for returning/refunding/exchange. I got charged today just so the store could make the money they lost from their Christmas sale when in reality it should’ve been an even exchange like most places everywhere else does. And they don’t care at all of course as long as they make their money with their policies and judgement. Just plain BAD BUSINESS on the store owner’s part all around. Reese’s jeans goes above and beyond with customer satisfaction and building relationships with customers. Every time I walk through the door there’s always someone with a friendly smile willing to greet me. The environment when you walk through the store makes it seem like something from the movies! The layout of the store in the way, the items are displayed are absolutely amazing.

When looking at the clothes, they have every type of item that you can think of from something glittery to wear to a Taylor Swift concert or for something to wear on a trip for a family vacation.

I’m very grateful for all the items that sell because it’s not like any other boutique. If you ever get a chance to go and visit Reeses jeans, you will not be disappointed. The team is absolutely fabulous. I gave the clothing and the team five stars!! Thank you for always being...

I’m not one to leave bad reviews on small businesses, but I think it’s time I started. I’m glad that the people that go into Reese’s Gene’s Boutique have good service, but today when I went in, I however did not. I went in asking about a job that I was referred about (weekend shift) over the phone last week and I went into the store today to see about the job and one of the ladies smarted off to me after looking me up and down and stated “we were never hiring.” The lady had on a hot pink shirt with dark brown hair. She never mentioned her name to me, but she was hateful and discriminating towards me based on what I was wearing (blue-jean shorts & a Tennessee-Whiskey shirt).
