Sallie's Cake & Candy Supplies — Local services in Manchester

I came across Sally's from a search for Cake and Candy suppliers in the area when my typical go-to was out of what I needed. Since they were a bit of a drive, I called ahead to be sure they had what I wanted before driving out. The parking was tight, but if coming from 141, you turn left at the light before the store, you can get to their parking lot from the lot behind the neighboring store. I spoke to a man on the phone and discovered he was one of the owners when we arrived. The store is small, but packed with cake and candy prep treasures! They're a 2nd generation small business and have an amazing collection of cookie cutters and molds, etc, and a room upstairs for classes. It was nice to learn they can also custom 3D print custom cookie cutters! I'll keep them in mind for unique gifts for my clients. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are many reviews about this place, and they are either really good or really bad. And let me tell you from someone who has gone here for years what my option is. They have a great selection of cookie and cake decorating supplies. They are well stock most of the time, and for how small the store is, they are somewhat organized. But the comments about how the employees are rude are absolutely true. They have been rude to me more than once, and I have seen them be rude to other customers on more than a few occasions. I guess since I was also always able to get what I needed and I have thick skin, I just kept going for years. I was in over the weekend and at first I thought the place was lovely. Very clean and well organized considering how much merchandise there was in the place. I thought it was lovely until a asked the lady behind the counter a question. She was so short and rude. Didn't answer my question and just moved on to something else like it didn't matter. I for some reason continued looking around and found what I was looking for on my own. After I saw her treat another customer with the same rudeness I put my ideas back and left. I am always willing to spend more a buy from a local business but I will not buy from someone who is rude with a can't be bothered attitude.
