Downtown Manhattan Beach — Local services in Manhattan Beach

This quaint, incredibly walkable area of Manhattan Beach is host to a wide range of stores, restaurants, and government facilities (e.g. library, police department, etc.). Stores range from high end to local one-offs, providing a great place to walk and shop. Restaurants are the same, you can have a beautiful dinner overlooking the ocean, or simply grab a slice of pizza. There is street parking and several parking structures (almost all is metered), however it can be busy/full on weekends. Beautiful beach. I was surprised to be able to enjoy a beach so close to airport and LA. The pier is beautiful to watch the waves crash underneath, and the beach is super fun to people watch on. We saw people getting surfing lessons here, and surfers out on the water. You must stay away from water when close to pier, for it is dangerous there. We watched a kid that for too far out and was struggling and the life guard missions that occurred. It was amazing. The life guards safely brought him back in even having to manuver around the pillons. ...

I love going to Manhattan Beach and Rosecrans area because the crowd is not juristic as much as it does local it's quiet the pier is nice with a lot of shops around doesn't get too crowded there are few places that stay open late there's an ice at Starbucks and if you go up the hill there are some shopping boutiques there's a pizza cafe and some grocery shopping places and...
