UConn Bookstore — Local services in Mansfield

Terrible.

I ordered online for textbooks to be shipped to my home address. It was on hold for week and a half. Since the semester was going to start very soon, I wanted to change it to pick up at first. I messaged them, but no reply what so ever. 2 days later I just reordered the same thing for pick up, and requested by their own messaging system online to cancel the previous order because even if the order was on hold, it could not be cancelled by the customer.

I got a call 4 days before the semester was about to start. The lady asked if I still wanted the shipping. I told her I just wanted the order cancelled because I have already made an order for pick. She said okay, but this morning I found out that "cancellation" apparently means "just ignore it and change it to pick up". So, I ended up charged with $280 dollars on repeated items. I guess I have to be personally pick up the 2 different orders and return one entire order.

What kind of a business is that? They just don't give a damn about customer service since you are forced to use their store for necessary course materials. Frankly, it was one of the worst shopping...

The store has wide selection of Uconn merchandise. But the online store purchasing system is broken and their staff is Grossly incompetent. I bought few item on their online store, which was discounted at 50%. Then they ended up billing them at full price, and even worse on the online store account the prices changed. Lucky for me I had the confirmation email with the discounted prices. Then I had to spend time talking to an associate manager, who was not even aware of the discounted promotion sale and was treating me as if I was a thief. even then, they did not discount all the items, to which I had to go to store find each item and calculate the discount myself and show them the actual prices. With all the evidence they still acted as it was my fault. My Advise is if you Shop here (sadly we have no other option) Take screen shots, keep receipts and save all the details. update: Bookstore is still refusing to honor original receipt and they have stopped responding to email. terrible...

Ohhh the choices of things you will find! You name it, you are likely to find it. It’s great that clothing comes in a variety of styles, colors, heaviness/lightweight, etc. Adult and kid options too. That’s not to mention the incidentals, like mugs, key chains, glasses, water bottles and I could go on and on. A nice bonus is the tech repair area, phone chargers and a cafe too. Quite a cool place to gather if you don’t want the quietness of the library. The layout is decent too as things are not too crowded, the store is large. Pricing is up there, but not out of the ordinary of what you would expect for such a store. Plus, the options are bar none. You will find not even a fraction of UConn gear/accessories elsewhere and the quality of the clothes...
