Hello I am sharing my experience that I had at this eating establishment. I went there this weekend on a Saturday evening, it was my first time eating here. As the saying goes, first impressions say a lot about you and your establishment. I am providing my honest review of this place. I went here with my girlfriend and we both ordered the same menu items with minor differences. When I ordered my food I told the guy at the ordering desk that I wanted to order the Milwaukee Dog or chil and cheese dog. He stopped me and told me that they were out of chil and he could not make me a chili dog. I didn't see any signs showing that there was no chili available. So then I took anotner glance at the menu and I ordered the Memphis Dog. This hot dog has crispy onions regular onions, cheese and BBQ sauce. Both my girlfriend and I ordered the same item but she omitted cheese on hers and made her dog a polish. You can pay 3 dollars or 4 dollars to upgrade to a combo with a drink and chips or fries. The drink is a 12 oz can of soda. They do not have fountain drinks. Our hot dogs were average at best, Casper's are supposed to be good dogs but I'm questioning if they actually use Casper's here. They just didn't have a good bite to them. They were just ok, my fries had to be the worse fries that I have ever had. They were severely undercooked and had absolutely zero flavor to them. I think the cook who was also the guy at the desk barely cooked them. Probably the worst fries I have ever had. I didn't come there for fries, I came for dogs. It's not hard to make fries though. I am not sure if we received bad service because of the time we got there, or if service is always like this. I decided to give this review as a PSA to warn others. I am pretty sure my girlfriend and I won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell Hob Nob you got me again. I like your food but service has always been an issue. Agter about a year I decided to give it another shot today. I placed my order on Door Dash. Got to the store about 15 minutes later and the employee hadn't turned on Door Dash, so never got my order. I waited and this is the product I got. $6.00 for a Frito boat with about 10 chips in it. I asked the employee if this was correct because the quantity of food looks much less than I remember. He confirmed this is how a Frito boat should look. I won't be back, ever.
Edited to respond to the owners dismissal of customer complaints. I took the jalapeƱo peppers of because I didn't want them. They were an extra item on the menu to select if wanted and I did not select. Your own menu states a Frito boat is chips, chili, and cheese. So yes, I did have the unwanted after taste of the peppers on the boat. And, that is exactly the tray of food your employee handed me. It did shift in the bag provided. When I originally opened at the store, there was a small layer that covered the entire bottom of the tray. Here is the photo I took before leaving your parking lot. I have received your message you no longer want me as a customer. No worries, I won't return. Maybe go back to the ice cream cone stand. That was when you had a good product and good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIve lived in Manteca over a year and passed by it dozens of times before I noticed it and stopped in about a month ago. This place is a gem. Its straight out of the 50s-60s, and shaped like an ice cream cone. It has a small dining room but most business is take out. They serve 'Caspers' hot dogs (long time east bay favorite), which are traditional frankfurters; your choice of toppings (chili/cheese, kraut, onions, etc...). Also shakes, floats, and soft seve cones. I get the double devil chili-cheese dog every time. Its not super easy to spot, but its well worth the effort. You don't find places like this very often anymore; check it out while you can; -bring your kids and make...
