Taqueria Manteca Mexican Grill — Restaurant in California

Well to start we were coming back for a trip with the family. The kids were cryin an we were all hungry. So I called in a order of a chicken quesadilla and some burritos of asada. We got home an dug in. The chicken quesadilla was really great. Tasty, a light crust on the tortilla. Meat and cheese ratio was on point. Delicious. Which is why I gave the two stars. I than tried one of the super burrito of asada. The meat was a tad over salted an sitting in a warmed state for to long. The beans were not that great. Just seemed a bit off, there was no snap to the bite when you bit into the beans.There was a tad too much of the cream. It was masking the flavor of the meat mending with the rice and beans. Should be good on its own rather than “just add more cream”. Maybe a bit more focus on the freshness and consistency rather than the amount you give. I would gladly pay more for better tasting food than the amount you get. Which was kind of disappointing as the chicken tasted so good. I don’t think we will be eating here anytime soon again. Some places I will go for a molcajete food, but I stay as a life long customer for the burritos.

I learned tonight that Taqueria Manteca is now charging a "Non-cash" charge to use a credit card. I understand all businesses are trying to increase profits but it is the cost of doing business. There are lots of places to eat that don't charge that extra fee. If they were smart like most business owners, that fee is added on to the cost of the prices on their menus to absorb that cost. This company is telling their customers they don't want us to use credit or debt cards and if you do use them, then you pay extra. It's a credit card world and there's other places to eat. People wonder why businesses close up because business is slow. You have to find ways to keep your customers not run them off. I use credit cards for points and pay it every month avoiding interest charges, not to buy things on credit. I don't shop at companies that charge me to...

The absolute worst experience! I've been going here for years on work lunches with friends and it's just gone down hill with each year. Today I went for lunch and waited 10 mins in line as they prioritize phone calls over the line. I then ordered my 3 beef tacos with lettuce/cheese and the price went up again, seems to cost a different amount every time, weird. So I have a seat and wait, 30 mins later I have to wait in line again to find out why, they seem to have lost my order! I ask for my money back but they quickly throw stuff in a bag and give it to me. I'm livid at this point so I leave, getting back to work 10 mins late.
