It's Terlingua. There's hipsters, 'natives', tourists, rich folk and commoners amok. Somebody's probably playing guitar serenading the whole motley ensemble. There's probably a dog or two wandering around. The aroma from the outhouse may be adding to the eclectic atmosphere helping you feel more exclusive.
The parking lot is equal parts mall-crawlers, real 4X4s, minivans and hybrids.

   Read moreThe Terlingua Trading Company in Ghost Town carries a wide selection of souvenirs. Itâs a busy place and serves as the main (and only) souvenir shop in the area. While the items are interesting and locally themed, the prices are quite high, which might make some hesitate before buying.
The parking situation is a challenge. Itâs a dirt road shared with the Starlight Restaurant, and with no clear organization, people park wherever they can, making it a bit chaotic. If youâre planning to visit, patience is a must.
